  1. I’ve never repaired fiberglass personally but it seems like the cloth/resin/sand/ paint program would fix that. I’ve coated wooden transoms with the resin and even outdoors that stuff smells pretty strong
  2. You should be in a good area, though it will be unbelievably crowded. (Although if you’re from DC that should be normal!) late March will most definitely be pre spawn with some probably already making nests. Water temps vary, should be 60 or so by then unless it floods. The lower end of the lake gets more pressure but then again Dayton is where all the big tourneys launch from
  3. No way I could count how many 18+” smallmouth I’ve caught with the 2.5 inch ones
  4. I’ve only had one 4x4, my current truck. Don’t know how I ever made it without........ actually I do remember how I did without. I got stuck in wet grass!
  5. You been into the sauce again?
  6. I had striper jumping all around me that wouldn’t bite, seasoned veterans told me I needed bucktails. I found some 1.5 oz heads at the bait shop and tied a couple rudimentary jigs/flies with kitchen scissors and sewing thread . I’ll have them in my pocket next time I go to a striper spot And a few sauger/crappie flies while I’m at it
  7. Welcome to the club
  8. Low country and hillbilly accents are geographically separated........ haha. We went to the ACE basin to look at shorebird management practices in college and it was awesome hearing the accent differences. My favorite is the low country SC way to say the word “here” hard to spell, maybe “hieyahn”
  9. I’m assuming that’s 4x4 in your neck of the woods?
  10. I caught a 21” largemouth on a tube yesterday . Strike king bitsy tube with 1/8 oz ball head jig inside. That’s one of the best lures I’ve ever thrown . I don’t know what water temp was (definitely below 50) but the fish was darn near ON the bank and hit like a bluegill pecking. Jumped many times and didn’t come off, 6 lb line shameless redundant picture post
  11. I don’t think it’s a necessity but that’s how I catch fish with chatterbait. It comes through some pretty thick milfoil and whammy. also there a lots of times when I just magically have a fish on it, like they inhaled it while swimming toward the boat. That usually happens on a steady retrieve
  12. “Daaaaaaaaaaannnng” -joe dirt
  13. lunch spot held a surprise today. “Guy on a Buffalo!!!”
  14. As long as it’s older than ‘08, it stops the calls. It can be whatever model you want! Haha
  15. I finally figured out how to stop those calls. I waited for a human on the line and told them I needed coverage on a 1976 ford pinto. Then she asked if I had any other vehicles, so I said I had 1978 Plymouth also needing coverage. She hung up on me
  16. Good to hear things are turning around! I can’t wait to see a picture of you and/or your son with a big striper in hand. They are mildly addictive
  17. Snowing here again . Boss called me this morning and said do the bare minimum. Where’s my travel rod???
  18. Do spoons and blade baits count as hard baits?
  19. TnRiver46 replied to Idahosmb's topic in Fishing Tackle
Soft: strike king bitsy tube, zoom finesse worm, and a toad harbait: popper, spook, jerkbait
  20. They are vastly different lakes. Dale hollow is a deep, clear highland reservoir with a surprising amount of grass . KY lake is a monstrosity that is much shallower and faster. Then again, I’m betting you already knew this! I’ve heard ticking the tops of grass with paddle tail swim baits can be great on dale hollow
  21. Sweeeeet!
