  1. I agree. Tried it for a while, no help
  2. I clean mine by launching them in the river and driving! It leaves a nice brown ring around the hull that really accents the camo pattern nicely
  3. Hahahah!
  4. Max depth is chest high? That might be tough fishing in winter. I’ve tried float and fly for years and caught one yellow bass. I have much better luck with gulp minnows or hair jig without bobber . Also tiny tubes and suspending jerkbaits
  5. I somehow found a c clip 3 times after it shot off into orbit the other day
  6. Site is humming like a well oiled machine! Thanks @Glenn
  7. Well I went to Tennessee’s first game last night! After last seasons historic run and losing 3 players to the draft, it appears we have some rebuilding to do...... but we still got the win. And the NCAA denied our 7 footer eligibility even after he sat out last year as well (I would just play him anyway). side note: the title is supposed to say “college hoops” but it won’t change no matter how I try
  8. They are predicting snow and a low of 20 for us on Tuesday next week. We shall see
  9. @HeavyTwenty, that’s an awesome spot!!!!
  10. Glad you beat the skunk, I don’t buy lures over $10 for such reasons. Well maybe not the bird reason but you never know haha
  11. 44" on topwater!!!
  12. A month ago it was too hot, now its too cold? You might have retired in the wrong location.....
  13. One puked up a big alewife on my boat once, hooked it on my spoon and threw it back out. Another fish attacked the heck out of it immediately but pulled off
  14. Where i live the shallow banks are 18-20. The deep ones are 35+. Last night i had my boat almost touching the bank getting my buddys lure unstuck and it was 24 feet under the transom with the trolling motor hitting rocks
  15. Tried this many times in brushpiles, they let go of the worm quite a bit. It has been successful a couple times but not many. I have better luck letting them swim out of brush after hooking them
  16. It was like 70 degrees all night and we have a freeze warning (oooooo scary) tonight . No high temps below 50 in the two week forecast
  17. Yeah i go from bass boat to canoe to bank/wade fishing all the time so everything stays wet muddy and sandy. My stuff has never seen a rod locker or garage, because i have neither
  18. Now that sounds pretty beefy!
  19. You fish for pike with spinning reels??? I dont know anything about pike fishing, just figured they were big and bad round baitcaster type fish
  20. Sooooooo..... You diagnosed it even more accurately. It got sticky when i was fishing and i wanted to keep using it...... So i did what i have done in the past for a last ditch effort that works sometimes..... I dunked it in the water a few times. Then it bound up completely! Worked great yesterday after i cleaned it . Ive been taking reels apart since i was a little kid so its no trouble for me
  21. Low end reels? Yes. Tournaments? Nope. That being said i dont recall ever losing a fish because of my reel. But if i did happen, i would just smile and keep casting (with a different reel). I try to never "cop an attitude" if i can help it
  22. I just open them up when they quit working. Probably happens more than once annually, im rough on them almost daily
  23. Maybe there was water in the lower that drained out on the way to the yamaha dealer? I busted a big hole in one once and somehow made it several miles back to the ramp and the mechanic said it still had half a cup of lube in it
