  1. Whoa. Look at that thing. “Just take a look at it” - ed bassmaster
  2. Toothy creatures. Sauger was 1/2 inch short (I think...) but The walleye was a keeper!
  3. Well I would rather fish anything but the spawn, that’s when they bite the least. We have fish spawning from March- July sometimes. Just got a 76 water temp a few clicks north of Mobile Alabama yesterday. Sept-February is where it’s at for me!!!
  4. Something has to transmit all the disease! Haha
  5. Thanks guys. The fly rod finally broke after about 150 white bass. I will attempt some fiberglass next time
  6. Happy memorial day to all those that didn't make it home and to their families.
  7. I’m back up and running! I figured out that almost all the engines manufactured like mine are the big foot version. Mine is not the big foot, which is why I always have such a hard time finding parts
  8. I fish deep for bass when they are doing that or try to snag some of the carp. I don’t consider snagging unethical because I usually land about 1 out of 300...........
  9. I finally caught a couple decent largemouth the last two days. Sad to say but these are the only largemouth I can recall catching that were over 1lb since almost New Years (and they werent much over 1lb). I usually catch smallmouth white bass and drum, probably more because of how far upstream I typically fish. I also had another breakthrough in my learning curve this morning, I caught a fish with a spinnerbait. Luckily the fish hit the crap out of it so there was no guesswork, a skinny beat up smallmouth that fought like the devil. Followed him up with a deeeeeep Texas Rig largemouth, I love setting the hook with a worm down deep
  10. I’ve had way too many ticks to count this year. Probably only 5-6 were imbedded though, I usually feel them crawling on me even in my sleep. Ticks are gross but they are the least of my worries right now, I’m covered in chigger bites and poison ivy.......... sad face
  11. Warriors look like deer in headlights in the last 2 4th quarters. And James harden has missed 20 straight 3s! Warriors need iguadala but rockets need CP3
  12. 65 degree water up north already? Pretty cool. Just for comparison, the Tennessee river is 59 degrees in downtown Knoxville right now. Update: now 61.5
  13. Nice fish @RickB, that river looks huge
  14. I knew a woman down in Florida that said they were the best eating fish down there. I'd love to try one but we don't have them in Tennessee
  15. I was going to say when I clicked on it, the link said he grabbed the snake. I have never been bitten by a snake........ unless I grabbed it first. In which case I get bitten most every time hahaha.
  16. I have fished in lightning 3 times this week. There is lightning almost every single day when it’s hot so if you don’t venture out in lightning you might as well take up an indoor hobby. I was several miles from the ramp each time the storm came, so running back to the truck seemed like the worst idea each time. I just find a bridge, tie off the boat, and get out. Keep everything metal away from you and wait it out. I just noticed a lot of people replying to run away, which is not always the best idea
  17. Good gracious
  18. No bowfin in East Tennessee unfortunately but I have caught two and netted several in South Alabama. They call them grennel or mudfish
  19. Any day involving a 3 lb bass is a good one in my book!
  20. Well don't do just that! Be open to the conditions, just a thought for what to start with.
  21. I’m not the only one after those plugs!!!!!
  22. Hmm old hickory. The guy that pours Baits for me has won a lot of tournaments on that lake. He could probably help you out tremendously, his name is Doug Richards and he lives in gallatin. He’s from the old school, probably can’t help you set up a 360 transducer but he can flat catch fish. I fish ledges all the time, basically because thats all there is by my house. A spoon can be a great lure for ledges, as well as a shakey head
