Best braid under $20
When you first spool, it should be very tight. If it is not, when you reel in, it will find the spaces on the spool.. Larger line reduces the spaces.....as does tightly spooling it in the first place Edit......I don't know anyone who uses more than 30 for stripes in the 40 inch range.......... I am presently using Gamma and 832

Best braid under $20
I can't answer that, but I spool it very tight. When I go in the sisal, I do use 40. On a side note, I know many use smackdowwn because the line is coated to prevent dig-ins. Truth be told, I am in the minority and suspect many will say 30# minimum. If you can stretch your budget, I would go smackdown

Best braid under $20
Power Pro from wally world may get it done, that said, I use 10 and 20 lb braid and NEVER had an issue digging in. It is backed with only braid and very tightly wrapped. For open water fishing, I would never use 50#

Fish get unhooked as you reel them in
........drop the rod, while reeling the slack and SWEEP. This way, regardless on the angle if the hook, it gets set

Brakes on baitcast reel don't seem to work
If this is your first one, and appears to be set properly, it is user error. It usually stems from casting like a spinning reel and using to much shoulder. Forget distance and make short accurate cast and practice it in your backyard.

The Road To The Super Bowl 2018
On paper the Pat's have already won! Brady will concussion himself off the field, thanks to his Mrs alerting the commissioner. But the game isn't played on paper. You heard it here......Cowboys! Side note, half the teams in the NFL would be lucky to have Romo, if you look at the numbers. Side note 2. The NFL has turned into a pushy league. Sadly, the most exciting games are at the college level..... Off the soapbox and time for a cigar

Deep Diving Cranks
I have found that trench diggers still run good when not contacting the bottom. The weighted bill help. So far I am pleased with them.......they also get down faster and spend more time in the target area

Deep Diving Cranks
No disrespect intended, but the ones rated for such depth. It should be labeled on the box. I usually add 2 feet to ensure bottom contact. There are many variables to get down there. Use the search function and that will lead you to many valuable threads. For clear water, chad and craw colors are my choice. I have also had luck with a faster wobble

There are better lines for the money If it broke at the knot might be the knot or what you are timing If you are throwing into salad, why not use and tie it direct There are better lines for the money If it broke at the knot might be the knot or what you are timing If you are throwing into salad, why not use and tie it direct

Favorite Pocket 9mm?
I love watching these threads unfold and it is always the same. The truth The 1911 is revered in the soul of most Marines. Shot for shot the 45 is a 100% better round than the 9 That said, I believe getting the 2nd round on target is the most important issue. Most folks will find double tapping a 9 easier than the 45. Most Marines don't have that issue. The next issue and one always raised it that one is double tapping, the 45 runs out of rounds, yielding the benifits to the 9, I have a few of both, and the best one is the one you have on your person. I carry my 9 far more than the 45 as the 45 is just to freekin heavy. In the real world it is about getting out of a situation, given the average person isn't getting 500 rounds down range per month, the 9 and it's sheer mag capacity is better for the average guy. On a side note, the 9's that the fbi carry are not stock. The trigger work alone make them feel totally different than one you and I could buy. I know, I have shot them Next topic will be metal or plastic ? Off to bed.....Night!

Some things that confuse me...
As far as braid, folks choose color for many reasons. some like high vis as they really want to watch the line. Others god to the teens as they are less visible to fish. the black manic market is usually used when the line fades and one believes the black is better than the lighter line. i use moss green for everything i never use a black marker.......it just doesn't matter

Has anyone posted a "How to switch to braid" tutorial thread?
Wise choice! start with the search feature when I have a few minutes I will post some links. For spin gear I am rigged with 10# 832......Many here use 832, PP, Gamma Turque. There are a lot of good options Use mono backing for half the reel and finish with braid. I put 75 yards on. spool off the top of the spool and spool it tight. There are many videos on the subject most from this site or members there if.
