Boat recommendations/advice
If it were me I would be looking for a used Lund Renegade. You can get away with small motors and They fish much bigger. I think you would have to find a couple more thousand though

Help with designated jerkbait rod! Will he used for 99.9% jerkbaits
I have 2 met DC'S and have them on my JB rod and light weight top water or light weight CB rod. They balance very well and I have never thought they were heavy......and I have had several wrist and shoulder surgeries.

Question regarding leaving fishing line on rods without using them?
Braid is good for years....and can be reversed to get more time out of it. That is why I never skimp on it

Heck......when I see how much some folks have into their kayaks.....pedalS, motors, shallow anchor, electronics, a Jon boat would be cheaper and just as easy to move ?

- Talons worth it
I have but it tends to be on NO wind days where the wind changes direction. it is not a big deal. I am planning on adding a second one this year.- Talons worth it
I run spot lock and 1 talon. I don't see this as one or another, both have their purpose. The reason I only have 1 is that I would loose the use of my ladder and the Mrs didn't like that idea. This winter she has been lifting and won't have a problem pulling herself into the boat . : )- Curado dc 150 6.2
I love my DC'S and they work with anything. I think they shine on baits that tend to be effected more by wind. I don't use them much for jigs- Mustang life jacket
- How many of you........
Truth be told, I have not heard an alarm I have set since boot camp, and yes, anticipation keeps me up- Most Comfortable pants
Columbia blood n guts. Simms tropical weight Mountain Khaki lighweight- Aldebaran rod pairing + NRX analysis
For me, I am more concerned on how it feels with a lure on it, before and after the cast. I don't think sitting in a living room is fair. I also think you need to have it spooled with the appropriate line. If there was a pole and reel that I wanted to use that was to tip heavy, I would add a butt weight. Given my wrist issues, weight is more important than balance and can't say I have experienced the latter- Mexico Trip
This is the silliest OP I have read in a long time and I wonder the motivation. To comment further would only get me in trouble.....- How do you choose which finesse presentation to use
Spidy-sence - Talons worth it
