  1. If it were me I would be looking for a used Lund Renegade. You can get away with small motors and They fish much bigger. I think you would have to find a couple more thousand though
  2. I have 2 met DC'S and have them on my JB rod and light weight top water or light weight CB rod. They balance very well and I have never thought they were heavy......and I have had several wrist and shoulder surgeries.
  3. Braid is good for years....and can be reversed to get more time out of it. That is why I never skimp on it
  4. If you like the jerkbait special, the flatside special is special..and can be had at a reasonable price
  5. It depends, but always more with lighter baits
  6. I too love the alpha . Impulse Zell Rowland Signature Series Casting Rods Is a top water that I think I use for jerks and is awesome. The jerk bait special can also be had for a similar $$$
  7. The Bantam really shine for that application. That’s what I use mine for
  8. Congrats! live large!!!!!
  9. On my lake in New Hampshire the North end is usually 5 degrees warmer in May and spawn is earlier there.
  10. GREAT point about using the dryer for ticks! Given lime disease, it is great insurance!!!
  11. Tech shirts do not require special product. In fact they do better with mild detergents and hang dry
  12. Tackle trap......just converted 8 I am glad everyone is talking Met......will leave more of the new Antares for me?
  13. Thanks for taking the time. I have an Impact 1775 and have been envious of ajays rig. Maybe next year
  14. I really like my jerkbait special
  15. Heck......when I see how much some folks have into their kayaks.....pedalS, motors, shallow anchor, electronics, a Jon boat would be cheaper and just as easy to move ?
  16. I have but it tends to be on NO wind days where the wind changes direction. it is not a big deal. I am planning on adding a second one this year.
  17. I run spot lock and 1 talon. I don't see this as one or another, both have their purpose. The reason I only have 1 is that I would loose the use of my ladder and the Mrs didn't like that idea. This winter she has been lifting and won't have a problem pulling herself into the boat . : )
  18. I love my DC'S and they work with anything. I think they shine on baits that tend to be effected more by wind. I don't use them much for jigs
  19. Truth be told, I have not heard an alarm I have set since boot camp, and yes, anticipation keeps me up
  20. Columbia blood n guts. Simms tropical weight Mountain Khaki lighweight
  21. For me, I am more concerned on how it feels with a lure on it, before and after the cast. I don't think sitting in a living room is fair. I also think you need to have it spooled with the appropriate line. If there was a pole and reel that I wanted to use that was to tip heavy, I would add a butt weight. Given my wrist issues, weight is more important than balance and can't say I have experienced the latter
  22. This is the silliest OP I have read in a long time and I wonder the motivation. To comment further would only get me in trouble.....
