I have a bag of those but I got annoyed with them always sliding down the hook. I don’t know if it’s the oil on them or the hook I use but it drives me nuts. I use a 3/0-4/0 EWG.

I didn’t spend a ton of time playing with my Echomaps either, just getting a few things set up and mostly running the boat. I’m loving the touchscreen too! I’m also loving having the two units linked together too. You’re used to Humminbird so I’m guessing you used the casting ring option? I asked about this several times regarding Garmin and I finally asked Todd Driscoll, so if you’re looking how to tell how far away from your waypoints let me know and I’ll help get you squared away.

I haven’t been pitching long but have come to love it. I’ve been using a 3/16-3/8 oz tungsten weight and a creature. I’m going to try some jigs this year, I’ve used them before but I’m going focus on them more this year.

I recently upgraded from Gen1 Echomap units to two 93SV UHD over the winter. I got them wired up and networked together last week and I’ll be launching the boat tomorrow. Ive played around with them a bit in demo mode and I’m extremely happy so far. The mapping is great and I’m looking forward to finally mapping my lake.

I’ve had the opposite experience. All my orders have showed up within a week and a half. Last Saturday I ordered a Dobyns rod and it showed up Wednesday or Thursday, it did come from the new Georgia warehouse. I have had the same luck as you though. In the past week and a half I ordered boats seats and they arrived here in Michigan from Connecticut in 1 day. I ordered the Dobyns rod and it arrived here from Georgia in 4 days. Finally I ordered a milk crate for my tackle trays a week and a half ago and that was coming from Flint, Michigan 2.5 hours away and it’s apparently lost according to the tracking and they’ve sent another one. There’s no rhyme or reason to this shipping dilemma that’s for sure. I can get boat seats from Connecticut in 24 hours, but can’t get a milk crate that’s 2 hours from me in a week and a half. How do you lose a milk crate anyways? ?

Thanks for the replies. I ended up ordering the 703c. I’m looking forward to trying Dobyns rods. I’ve heard nothing but great things from all of you about them, so we’ll see.

I’m going to pull the trigger and finally try out a Dobyns Fury rod. I’m thinking I want to get something suited for jerkbaits. I have a jerkbait set up on the spinning side, so I’m looking to get casting rod. What’s your recommendation?

I have a Stanley gas powered, and haven’t been happier! I’ve been through to electric and they were the worst. Sorry to burst your bubble but they were good for a couple years and that was it.
