  1. Yep! 10pts awarded to the person who can name the movie in the background.
  2. I could have too! Or a horse saddle!
  3. $45-50 down the drain on the brisket. The burnt ends turned out great so it wasn’t a complete fail. The flat was like chewing on shoe leather. My parents took it home for chilie and a few other things so it wasn’t a total loss. I might try again next year. I think I’ll try without the Texas crutch.
  4. Brown/blue is with the power wire, I believe? You just need to strip it back to expose it. I’d go check my boat but she’s hibernating as you probably know only being a hop skip and a jump away from me. Any low voltage wire would work. Thermostat wire works too and last I knew....years ago it was pretty cheap.
  5. Fellow smoker here. I’ve tried and failed twice now with brisket. I’ve done great with ribs, pork loin, venison jerky, and beef jerky. I want to do a Boston butt next and try pulled pork. I have an electric smoker and a pellet grill. I haven’t used the electric smoker since I got the pellet grill in April, but I think come spring I might try the electric smoker again. I’ll add I tried sweet corn one time and it was god awful bitter!
  6. Ahh good to know. Did you just use the brown/blue wires?
  7. I heard yesterday he recently passed away. He had himself a few good tunes.
  8. Is your current Echomap a Plus unit or an older unit? If it’s an older unit you’ll need another Echomap unit. I do believe Echomap Plus units will share waypoints only with Striker Plus. If your current unit is not a Plus unit again I believe you will need to find another non Plus unit in order to share waypoints.
  9. @slonezp there’s an odd number of people right now. ?
  10. Here I am with two weeks on paid time off I need to burn up before the end of the year so I wish I would have burned more up fishing. My big thing I’ve mentioned in past threads, I wish I would have gotten off the bank, and I wish I would have spent more time graphing.
  11. The best thing to do is educate yourself by watching videos like you did. Russell Marine is a great source and seem to be honest.
  12. UHD stands for Ultra High Definition. The frequency is quite a bit higher than the standard Echomap transducer So the images will naturally be better. I haven’t personally used a UHD transducer but I hear it’s quite a bit better, but nothing like MEGA imaging the Humminbird has, but is quite a bit better the Lowrance. Everything that you get with this $599 package you can’t beat hands down, it doesn’t matter if the images are better than MEGA imaging or not.
  13. Good call! I do know the difference, I’m not sure why I said whatever you want to call them, must be one too many Miller Lites. I spent two years on a dairy farm building barns and a parlor, so I know the difference. ??
  14. I don’t know a dang thing about Lowrance, but have you tried Russell Marine products, The GPS Store, My Green Outdoors, BBG Marine just to name a few?
  15. Looking at Tackle Warehouse I’d say you’re correct on both!
  16. I can always count on you Brian. Here’s no. 3
  17. Ok here’s no. 2 I think by the eyes this might be a Norman Lures crank
  18. Now that I’m starting to get my poop in a group and get organized I think I’ll pick one up.
  19. Unfortunately I don’t have a scale to weigh ounces.
  20. If you don’t mind @MN Fisher I’d like to keep this going. I recently received a lot from @roadwarrior and there are a few cranks I’d like help with identifying. Here’s no. 1
  21. Dang your good Brian!
  22. The Detroit Lions will never win a Super Bowl that’s for dang sure!
