I could have too! Or a horse saddle!

Smoking meat
$45-50 down the drain on the brisket. The burnt ends turned out great so it wasn’t a complete fail. The flat was like chewing on shoe leather. My parents took it home for chilie and a few other things so it wasn’t a total loss. I might try again next year. I think I’ll try without the Texas crutch.

Connectivity of Garmin Units
Brown/blue is with the power wire, I believe? You just need to strip it back to expose it. I’d go check my boat but she’s hibernating as you probably know only being a hop skip and a jump away from me. Any low voltage wire would work. Thermostat wire works too and last I knew....years ago it was pretty cheap.

Smoking meat
Fellow smoker here. I’ve tried and failed twice now with brisket. I’ve done great with ribs, pork loin, venison jerky, and beef jerky. I want to do a Boston butt next and try pulled pork. I have an electric smoker and a pellet grill. I haven’t used the electric smoker since I got the pellet grill in April, but I think come spring I might try the electric smoker again. I’ll add I tried sweet corn one time and it was god awful bitter!

Connectivity of Garmin Units
Is your current Echomap a Plus unit or an older unit? If it’s an older unit you’ll need another Echomap unit. I do believe Echomap Plus units will share waypoints only with Striker Plus. If your current unit is not a Plus unit again I believe you will need to find another non Plus unit in order to share waypoints.

Hindsight - Would you have done anything differently this season?
Here I am with two weeks on paid time off I need to burn up before the end of the year so I wish I would have burned more up fishing. My big thing I’ve mentioned in past threads, I wish I would have gotten off the bank, and I wish I would have spent more time graphing.

Garmin 93sv uhd
The best thing to do is educate yourself by watching videos like you did. Russell Marine is a great source and seem to be honest.

Garmin 93sv uhd
UHD stands for Ultra High Definition. The frequency is quite a bit higher than the standard Echomap transducer So the images will naturally be better. I haven’t personally used a UHD transducer but I hear it’s quite a bit better, but nothing like MEGA imaging the Humminbird has, but is quite a bit better the Lowrance. Everything that you get with this $599 package you can’t beat hands down, it doesn’t matter if the images are better than MEGA imaging or not.

Bad Estimates of Bass Weight
Good call! I do know the difference, I’m not sure why I said whatever you want to call them, must be one too many Miller Lites. I spent two years on a dairy farm building barns and a parlor, so I know the difference. ??
- Need some help finding a transducer

Little help identifying lures
If you don’t mind @MN Fisher I’d like to keep this going. I recently received a lot from @roadwarrior and there are a few cranks I’d like help with identifying. Here’s no. 1
