  1. The wife just sent me this. Problem solved!
  2. Thanks, I hadn’t seen that. I voiced my opinion (for what it’s worth) on that thread as to not take away from it.
  3. Good thing I live on a private lake, good thing my turkey season starts in 5 days, and good thing I have a trolling motor. From my understanding it sounds like as long as you don’t fire up your outboard you’re ok.
  4. I’m not trying to make this political so please don’t go there. Did the governor just say we can not go fishing under her new extended executive order?
  5. What does Catt prefer, pegged or unpegged? If you prefer pegged, do you peg it tight to the hook or further up the line. If you use a bobber stop, how far do you let your weight slide? ?
  6. Snow flurries here as well. We had about a 30* temp drop since yesterday.
  7. I watched a Jacob Wheeler video over the winter and he said he starts throwing top water when the temps are in the low 50’s. He loves that buzz frog.
  8. Early Easter present (thanks Amazon and COVID-19) came for 6poundbass today. A group of top water fronts too but he doesn’t know about them. Anyways it showed up today. I don’t know about Monte Burch, does he give good advice? We figured it’s better than nothing And a good start. Anybody read or know anything about him?
  9. Our thoughts are with you guys Paul.
  10. If I remember right Bayer makes some brush kill (I believe it’s called) and that stuff will kill almost anything. I found it a Tractor Supply.
  11. This came up on another site and someone mentioned tying your line around one of your cleats. Either the line will break, you’ll pull a wall hanger of a log up, or your jig will break. Either way I’m going to give it a try next time.
  12. Looking forward to seeing your results.
  13. I’m guessing you’re in the Detroit area? Those are some warm temps. I was out yesterday for our first trip, and in the morning the temps were 41 and 44 when we loaded at 1 pm. The lake I fish is a small and deep 85-90’ , so that probably plays a factor.
  14. First smallie of the year I got yesterday. First smallmouth from a lake for me as well. Nothing to write home about but, a first is always nice no matter the size. Now if only the water could warm some more to wake them up.
  15. I couldn’t help but steal this one. How fast was he going?
  16. Two long sleeve shirts and a sweatshirt here! Good catch in’!
  17. First time out this year. A balmy 31* when we launched, 41* water. Only managed 1 smallie. Nothing to write home about. My first lake smallie though. Added fuel to this brown bass fire too!
  18. I’m launching the boat in T-minus 12 hours.
  19. The hair I’m losing on my head seems to appear in my ears and nose. Don’t get me started on the one or two grey hairs on the eyebrows that seem to come out of nowhere and grow about three inches overnight! ?Is this what getting old is all about?
  20. It got up to 65 here yesterday. The G3 is getting wet tomorrow for the first time this year. I’ll see if I can catch a brownie for ya.
  21. Beautiful day out. Cranking some good tunes while I’m working.
  22. The sun is out, the temps are almost perfect, spring is in the air, I have the radio cranked, the window down a tad, and listening to some good tunes. I’m going to make the best of the hand I’m dealt today.
  23. Expensive little buggers in Michigan.
