Wow you’re lucky. We’ve all left our locating equipment out overnight at a customers house. I don’t know about your equipment but mine goes for around $4k brand new. @Hawkeye21 you can send it in to Garmin, they’ll fix it. It will be cheaper than buying another. Garmin has great customer support, they might just fix it or replace it free of charge, you never know.

Having two bad shoulders from hockey and baseball injuries, I’m 100% certain both arms would fall off if I attempted anything like this.

Thankfully the rearming kits are cheap enough and you have YouTube. Now order the kit. Lol

They check to make sure you’re fire extinguishers are still good, so there’s a good possibility they’d check your PFD.

I watched a YT video on how to rearm them. It appears I installed the bobbin incorrectly which caused to fire as soon as I installed the cylinder. I’ll order a new rearming kit today and try it again when it arrives.

My wife thought it was funny too! Lol

Interesting, it took quite the effort to get the old off and the new on.

The manual cord was never pulled and still green.

I absolutely love throwing a frog and have religiously for 13-14 years now. Still to this day when I first start throwing it at about 60 degrees, I set the hook too early and miss quite a few. It quickly comes back to me though. Three things you can do to help. 1: like @slonezp said count to 3 2: talk to yourself “wait, wait, wait” while you work the frog. (This one can have the opposite effect at times) 3: look away or close your eyes and wait until you feel the fish good luck, there’s nothing better than a frog bite!

Gusting 40 today. I finished getting lures tied and re-spooling a few reels. I quickly came to the conclusion I need more rods and reels! ?

My worst day was about 13 years ago. I forgot to put the plug in my jon boat. The wife told me after I got back from parking the truck. I put the plug in fired up the 15hp and headed out and pulled the plug to drain the water. That didn’t work too well because of the weight of the water! I almost sunk our boat! Made it back to shore and needless to say my nerves were shot and the wife wasn’t too happy. I loaded the boat, pulled the plug and we went home. Coming down from the stress we both took naps, we woke up, and the wife says, “let’s try fishing again”. We went out, and had a pretty good time. We still laugh about it to this day!

I decided to rearm my Onyx A/M 24 PFD. This is the first time I’ve ever done it. I read the instructions, the bobbin was pretty difficult to get on, but I prevailed. Then I screwed the cylinder on and FAIL! It appears the pin was still up and once I screwed it all the way in, boom! I’m not sure what the heck happened. The wife got a good laugh out of me saying, “no no no” as it’s inflating.
