There are two in my town. One has been around for decades and the other opened about 7-8 years ago. Both also sell hunting equipment, and one has an indoor gun range. Both stay busy, to be honest I never though they would both survive but they have! I shop at the newer one because they have more bass gear and it's closer to me. Within a ten mile radius of me there are four including the two I mentioned. If you increase the range to 15-20 miles there are close to ten that I can think of. Our closest "big city" is about 45 miles as the crow flies, so all we have close by is a Wal-Mart and a Meijer (which is a regional supermarket) so mom and pop is all we have which is good. Small town USA is a good thing in my book.

In my world a person that doesn't fish in their spare time isn't a buddy, they're an acquaintance. ? j/k

Ahhhhh fall is in the air. The fall bit is slowing, the temps. are dropping, the leaves are changing, and 11 year old threads are being revived! ?

I was hoping Zona would get and invite and go. I too would love to see him fish the BPT.

I looked in my mailbox, no invite......just bills.

Someone came across them here in Michigan a couple years ago. They said they are rare to see but have been here a while.

That was be a pretty interesting tournament to fish. I could see it messing with your head. What do you do? Go offshore after the bigger ones who are less frequent and gable on not getting a limit? Or do you beat the bank and get a small limit? What if you have 5 smaller ones and someone brings 3 decent ones that smokes your 5? See I'm second guessing everything and I'm not fishing the tourney! I'm not mentally stable enough to fish a tournament like that! ? Good luck, make sure to let us know how you did.

I hear ya! My wall hanger threshold is 6lbs. That's about as big as the green ones are going to get up here.

At first I found it funny and amazing that nobody even the news reporter didn't know who he was! But then you stop and think about it and realize just how small our little fishing world is. Here's a Classic champ, AOY champ, Federation Nation champ, a guy who has won millions and made even more millions of dollars bass fishing and nobody knew who the heck he was. Pretty funny if you ask me.

That's a nice set up you got there, and I like the name! My step dad's golf league name is the * Tour, just a bunch of retired guys going around the state playing different gold courses.

Nice fish. The fish of 10,000 casts doesn't seem to apply to your neck of the woods. I'd love to tie into one of those monsters.

Right at the end he says 'I've caught a couple days, but I'm trying for fish's. Too funny. How he managed to be so serious and not bust up laughing is beyond me! I'd love to spend a day with that guy.

I noticed that too and wondered why. The only thing I could come up with is maybe they do that for security purposes in case it's a car full of drugs. I've seen before on shows where they've transported a car full of drugs and they had a heavily armed escort because the dealers have tried to get it back.

The alligator in Lake Michigan was found in northern Illinois so chances are pretty good @slonezp bought for himself as an early sweetest day present but it grew to big for his bathtub. ?
