It’s never ending when there’s snow on the ground, he wants out so he can eat snow. He stands right there staring at you. If you ignore him, he stomps, if you ignore that he’ll come up to you, and flip your hand on his head. To top that off, try waking up from a deep sleep to that mug six inches from your face in the middle of the night! It’s been a few weeks since I’ve had a full nights sleep. That was also the last time we didn’t have snow on the ground. Come on spring! 😁

I’ve never lost a fish that I lost sleep over. I think I’m lucky enough (or unlucky) to have not known how big it truly was. I have and still do lose sleep over at buck I missed out in NW Nebraska. It was a 160” class 11 point. How do I know it was a 160” you ask? My best friend dad shot it two minutes after I missed it! That one still haunts me.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I picked her ashes up today on my way home from work. My wife is getting better each day. What really surprised us was our GP Hank has been a bit depressed. We’ve lost other dogs and it didn’t seem to bother him. The only thing we can come up with is his ‘flock’ is now gone. GPs are flock guarding dogs and our pugs were his flock. He’s slowly starting to come around and is eating more now whereas right after we put her down he didn’t really eat for a couple days. Each day it’ll get better. Thanks again!

Agreed. Vikings ended the season with 4 losses, twice to the Lions and twice to the Rams. That’s some tough sledding right there.

Last night we made the difficult decision to let our Lola go. She had been declining but the last couple days she really went downhill. She was our fifth and final Pug. We rescued her back in 2017. We were told she was good with other dogs which wasn’t the case at all, but we made the commitment to her to give her stability. Having other dogs she didn’t make it easy but we did it. She loved her humans though. All we have left of our pack is our GP Hank. To say my wife is lost is a total understatement. This was her the day we got her back in 2017.

I intentionally stayed away from this thread hoping it would stay warmer than it’s supposed to be (I was in denial). Winter is here and isn’t going away. I’m predicting March 19. I hope I’m right. 😁

Can’t say I am either, especially after their matchup earlier this year. The Bills, if they win, will have a tough couple weeks assuming KC wins.

I almost forgot, cold brings snow which makes this guy want to go out all the time and eat snow. He especially likes to wake me up two hours after I fall asleep so he can go eat the snow. So after a nice two hour nap, I’m wide awake and he’s happily sleeping with a belly full of snow. 😡 @Swamp Girl I’m a field supervisor for a fiber optic internet company and we utilize horizontal drilling to install our conduit underground which our fiber optic cable goes into the conduit.

I’m getting less tolerant of the cold as well and I work outside. Even though I don’t like the cold anymore I wouldn’t want to be a desk jockey. Like others have said, the thing with layering up is the bulkyness and restriction of movement. It drives me nuts! The snow and cold also screws with our production at work. If we get too much snow we can’t drill because we have to keep the roads clear for the plows. Also, our drills use water so, if it dips below 21 or so our contractors get real nervous about freezing drills. This really messes with our deadlines.

It varies year by year. Last year it was deep diving crankbaits which is the first time that would’ve been on my list, bladed jig, and finally a lipless crank. Absent the last few years is the frog which brings a tear to my eye.

I think electric golf carts are a blast so I can’t imagine a Tesla. If you’re going to get one, go with a model S Plaid. 😁
