  1. Well @Glenn, how’s this game going to turn out? The head ref Alex Kemp lives in my town so maybe the Lions will get a few calls to help them out. ?
  2. Our bow season starts Oct 1 and rifle season Nov 15. I don’t have the free time needed for bow hunting. 6poundbass wants to give bow hunting a go this year. I’ll go out for rifle season. My friend who’s land we’ll hunt gave me access to his cellular trail cams so I get all the pics sent right to my phone in real time. We’ve seen one nice shooter and a decent one who is board line shooter. Plenty of little ones who could be decent in a couple years.
  3. My dad is and still is a good man. He grew up pretty poor and said their family was the last house in town to get indoor sewer. He worked a lot of side jobs as a finish carpenter so there were a lot of times he wouldn’t get home until late. It wasn’t until a few years ago I found out he did that so we could have the things we had. We didn’t grow up poor by any means at all, it was for the summer vacations, etc. and let’s face it, there were three of us siblings and kids aren’t cheap. No matter where I was for baseball or hockey, he was always there. When I was in the hospital for my chemo treatment he was there every day except one, and that time he didn’t come was because I forced him to go to my stepmoms work Christmas party because I wanted them to enjoy a night not being in the hospital with me. He still put up a bit of a fuss, but I won. ? He’s retired but still works side jobs to stay busy. We talk a few times a week, and see each other frequently. He wasn’t into hunting or fishing, my stepdad got me into that. We had plenty of other things in common. I’m pretty lucky to have a good dad.
  4. I’m always at least 5 minutes early for everything. Work, I’m almost always 10 minutes early. A previous thread I mentioned my wife is OCD (in a good way) well when we go some place where we’re meeting people we’re 10-15 minutes early and by the time we sit and wait 5 minutes for others to show up she grows impatient and is wondering where the other people are! ?
  5. @A-Jay, my wife says her favorite color is dog hair. We’re down to two dogs but there’s still plenty of dog hair to go around. To the OP, we have a pass at the local CarWash, $15/month unlimited washes and vacuums so the Blazer goes almost daily especially in the winter, my trucks gets maybe 200 miles/month so that gets washed once a week. My wife is OCD (in a good way). The house gets vacuumed at least twice a day, floors moped once a day, and she “deep cleans” Saturday and Sunday. My boat gets cleaned/vacuumed every other month.
  6. If only he could play the entire game like he did in the hurry up offense last night we’d be good.
  7. @Eric 26 none taken. Buffalo sucked and anyone else that says it I’ll agree with them. I call a spade a spade, even if it’s my team. Me calling a spade a spade has also left me sleeping on the couch a few times. ?
  8. @Glenn, as a Bills fan that blown call didn’t even bother me a bit. That game should have never went to OT. The Bills played like crap and deserved to lose.
  9. I have never seen this thread during the fishing season. What are we going to talk about during the winter months?
  10. Well that was absolutely pathetic!
  11. I’m right there with you! Finesse presentations! I just have a hard time fishing slow. I’m a patient person but for whatever reason I don’t have the patience to fish slow.
  12. Welcome fellow Michigander to Bassresource.
  13. For the first time in my 40 years of life the Lions have the best record in the NFL! ?
  14. Congratulations on paying it off that nice rig!
  15. Are we talking about the early years of BASS tournaments where 10 bass were weighed? I’d get to 20lbs then. ?
  16. The Lions are going to do one of two things 1: lose to KC tonight then going on to make the playoffs and get knocked out the first or second game or 2: Beat KC tonight and ? the bed the rest of the season.
  17. The Honolulu blue kool aide is flowing like water here in Michigan. ?
  18. Glad to see you stop by. I love my Ragetails!
  19. 6poundbass went to the NHRA US Nationals with my dad, stepmom, brother, etc. He and my nephew went for a walk last night and he came back with a rear tire, clutch plate, and a parachute. ?
  20. Welcom to Bassresource
  21. I see we have a bunch of amateurs on here. My wife thinks I’m a mute…problem solved.
  22. She’s home and that’s where she needs to be. Good news!
