  1. Don’t forget 51,438 miles of rivers in Michigan
  2. Thanks @GaryH for the nod of confidence but I’m not that up to date or knowledgeable enough to help out. Silly question but have you made sure you have power to the unit? @Todd Driscoll is an actual Garmin pro maybe he’ll swing by and try and help.
  3. The hard part is over! Now we need to couple all 8 pipes together and fill in this 13’ deep hole. I lost a couple years of life on this 350’ shot.
  4. Tell that to the bosses @slonezp
  5. As far as the name goes, my theory is the shape is a triangle which is also a polygon. Mesh the two up and you have Trigon.
  6. This five hour job will be on day four tomorrow.
  7. https://kastking.com/products/kastking-ireel-one-ifc-smart-fishing-reel ?
  8. Oh yeah, he’s perfectly fine and looked at it as a badge of honor. ? Surprisingly Mrs. 12poundbass took it well.
  9. Typical line pull trick.
  10. 6poundbass and I got up at dawns early light to head to a lake we haven’t fished in a long time. Overcast, 60*, humidity gone, and a slight breeze. We get to our first spot I toss the Whopper Plopper and one hits first cast. It gets to the boat and it looks to be a 2.5-3lber, it jumps and off it comes. Things were slow for the next hour or so then we start to develop a pattern, 10-15’ of water, scattered weeds and a @Siebert Outdoors foggy with a Rage craw trailer we’re the ticket. The biggest was around 2lbs. We saw two bald eagles, one stayed in the tree, and the other would fly around trying to catch breakfast. They were talking to each other which was a first for the both of us hearing them in person which was cool! There were also two loons carrying on all morning which was also something we don’t see or hear too often. About three hours in I landed a decent pike. There are Musky in here and we were both hoping it would’ve been a Musky but no such luck. Shortly after that….It happened! 6poundbass tied on his Bucca swimbait in hopes of a musky, landed a small bass and BAM! Treble hook in the thumb past the barb. He wanted me to do the line removal trick, but when push came to shove he backed out. He went back and forth and kept backing out. I finally made the executive decision “we’re going to the ER.” We load the boat, get home, drop the boat off, and make the drive to the ER. The doctor was cool and said he’s removed probably 200 hooks from humans. He also said he was at a conference a few years back and a Bassmaster pro was there and taught the doctors how they do it on the water. We were in and out in 15 minutes. Never a dull moment in our house! ?
  11. Happy birthday yesterday. Tomorrow I’m the big 40. I’m with ya, I’ve cheated death a few times as well, dumb some really dumb things (not anymore), and made more mistakes than I care to admit. The way I look at it is, it’s help shape me into the person I am today.
  12. I’m guessing she is neutrophenic (spelling)? I went through that once with my chemo. Not a fun time. She’s a strong woman with a lot of people on her side.
  13. I’ve done it once. I actually watched the guy pull into a bar and the cop follow him right in. The cop called me a while later and said the guy was extremely drunk and probably would’ve killed him self or someone else after he left the bar.
  14. Man, sorry to hear the news Andy. There’s not much I can say or do that you two aren’t already doing. You’ll both be on my mind for sure. Hang in there.
  15. All the hallmarks of IBS too. Give peppermint Pills a try.
  16. Dang @IcatchDinks I didn’t realize you were from Michigan and not too far from me! You are for sure for “middle” than I am. Only by a fraction of a corn field or two is all though. Or in your case an oil rig or two.
  17. Welcome to Bassresource
  18. No, just someone who stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.
  19. Living rubber jigs from @Siebert Outdoors
  20. If you’re having cataract issues go to your eye doctor and see if they will write you a medical pass (for lack of better words). My sister worked for an ophthalmologist and they did that from time to time. If they do you can tint more than your state usually allows.
  21. @Todd Driscoll Glad to see you still stop in from time to time. You’re a huge asset to us Garmin guys! Thanks!
  22. I had a coworker who thought he had this and went to a holistic doctor. They had him basically starve himself only eating radishes, and carrots to basically empty everything in his body and start over with a new bacteria. He was so malnourished he had fog brain and I sent him home because he wasn’t all there. I won’t even go into detail their second treatment they wanted to do if this didn’t work. I was talking with him about his symptoms which were very similar to yours and were similar to symptoms I was having. I did a lot of research and determined I had IBS. I took some of my wife’s IBS pills and it helped take care of it almost completely. I didn’t want to be on those pills for and extended time and my wife suggested peppermint pills. Those were a ton better and cheaper. Maybe check into IBS. The best thing you can do if figure out what your trigger foods are. My are eggs, spicey foods, and garlic. I can handle them all in moderation.
  23. @slonezp I was hoping I could sneak that by you but apparently you read every single thread. GIF Nazi.
