Do rod floats work well enough?
I used them for a while but i found that my line was getting tangled in the wraps a good bit. Always make sure my rod is either in my hand or securely in the rod holder. Also the rod never leaves my hand until i feel it bottom out in the rod holder.

Any luck with flukes/super fluke?
Check out the KVD Cafine shad. It's similar to the fluke and I think I catch larger fish with it. Like GYB it's not the most durable lure.

Bass pro brand rods thoughts and comparison
I have owned a Pro Qualifer for a couple years and it's as good as my other rods such as St Crouix & Fenwick. I wouldn't be afraid to buy one.

Copolymer line
- Pflueger baitcasters
I bought a Pflueger Patriarch a couple of years ago and it's the best reel i've ever owned.- Fluke style Baits for smallies
- braided line power pro or spiderwire..........
Of those two I would choose Power Pro but my choice for my money is Suffix 832- Favorite fluorocarbon?
Seagar Invizx- To my fellow quantum fans
I own four Quantum spinning reels (Smoke model) and have had great success with them. I also own ABU and Shimano with equal success. Buy the best model you can afford and take care of it and you will be in good shape. Never bought into brand bias, you miss out on a lot when you go that route, Just saying.- Jerkbait fishing - am I doing it wrong?
Big believer in 8 - 10 lb florocarbon line for jerk baiting in cold water.- Neoprene gloves not warm at all
- Best line?
Not knowing more details I would recomend Suffix 832 20ib if I could only go with one line. Use it as is for topwater or add different floro leader for most everyting else. The lb test of the leader can be changed based on what you are fishing with.- Crankbaits for shallow rocky river /creeks
Depending on the model they range from 3/4" to 2 1/2". Run the stock hooks. They work equally well for both large and small mouths.- Crankbaits for shallow rocky river /creeks
On the Shenandoah the Rebel Wee Crawfish works well around shallow rocky areas. Be prepared to lose a few.- Pflueger Patriarch VS Shimano Stradic CI4
Love the Pflueger Patriarch. I own many reels but I find myself rearching for it more than any other.- Can't decide on which rod
I've used the HMG 7 ft medium heavy for about a year now and have nothing but great things to say about it. Nice sensitivity and the handle material has a nice feel especially when it gets wet.- What’s the best baitcasting reel on sale in the $200-$300 range?
A different option - Pflueger Patriarch. Best baitcaster i've ever used.- High End Spinning Reels?
Same as Scott F on the higher end Quantums. Tighter, smoother, and still going strong after up to 10 years on some of them. - Pflueger baitcasters
