  5. Ice fishing up at our camp in Potter County. I also hunt for some coyotes while up there. Hunting is a probably. Sledding, dont laugh, ;D, but hey, we've had a plastic sled goin 45 mph. We make trails on the powerlines and ridges, if the snow comes. Winter potato gun wars, . And spending a whole lot of time on here.
  6. You should try the 3 manned water balloon sling shots! ;D That was an interesting period in my life! Glad I was fast!!!! LOL! These days, my hobbies outside fishing would be, volleyball/wallyball, Battlefield 2142, pool (on rare occasion) and darts. We had our first war the other day, 13 poeple, 11 guns. Now were gonna have another because it was fun. We wear our atv helmets, goggles, and gloves...just to make it fun.
  7. I thought about not putting lips on them..... I dont think I will, not yet anyways. Thanks guys! Ian
  8. Hunting - cuttin wood - working on cars - racing - football - lure making - drawing - potato cannon wars - swimming
  9. Hahaha, I like duct tape....... I got another ?..... how do you make sure your bill is straight, like, ummmmm, hard to explain..... :-/....to make sure the bill is at a 90 degree angle with the side of the bait, so that it doesnt swim up on it's side?
  10. Thanks guys, though, I already have the cutters because I heard people mention them before. What shapes should I aim for? Ian
  11. Congrats Jake, you too Robert, the whole thing was a great idea!
  12. Ok, i've decided to get into lure making, actually I decided a few months ago, but making them with a pocket knife and sand paper was getting old. I finished a crankbait from start to finish in about 10 minutes last night, so I get the basics. Is there any tips you experienced fellows can offer me? Thanks in advance! Ian
  13. I think i've progressed a lot on finesse fishing and jigs. Most everywhere I fished this year I tried either a dropshot or a carolina rig, and also I tried jigs. I have caught fish on all 3 when nothing else would work. I have caught 7 bass on a carolina rig, 5 on dropshot, and 44 on jigs, last year I dont think I caught anything on any of them. So that makes me happy!
  14. I think so...i've seen vid's on here before. I think you would have to download it to a site like photobucket first...

That just became one of my new favorite colors! Awesome!
  16. Thanks guys.... Today was the worst. The funeral was at 11 this morning. He was an outstanding fisherman and archer, and I just wish I would have spent more time with him. I just dont understand why people have to loose things to realize what they really mean....
  17. Thanks guys! The last few days have been hard, the veiwing is tonight. I know he'll be there everywhere i'm fishing, standing beside me.....
  18. Today was another quiet day at school. I plan on attending the viewing and the funeral. We still do not understand why it was him, why he had to leave. He was a great friend and work partner. He was a very good fisherman, probably better than me. To remember this, we will be putting a memorial at one of his favorite places to fish. He will be missed by everyone. Also in his memory, us who knew him well are getting tattoo's to remember him. He had 13 tattoo's, some of us are getting one that he had. We requested that the school flag be at half staff on Friday. Thanks for the prayers. ( and yes, were having a fishing trip Saturday to recall all the good times we had together with him, and every year, on September 30, we will do the same)
  19. Yesterday at 6:00 am I lost one of my best friends from my years of high school. He had to quit school to take care of his mother. He was working a full time job at the age 17. He was driving a foggy road to work, he hit a utility pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was one of the most caring guy's I knew, as I said, he had to work a full time job so he could pay the bills and take care of his mother who had cancer. He was also a great fisherman. We would talk all day in school about fishing. He told me once, "I promise we'll go fishin sometime". He told me that right before he quit school. We never did get to fish together. We are having a fishing trip in his memory this saturday. He was a great guy and he will be missed very much. I am going to school today, it will be quiet, as was yesterday. I will tell more of the story when I get back from school.... Ian
  20. Anybody watch the special episode last night? I thought it was really good.
  21. This is odd, basically the same thing is happening at my school. The other day when I was sitting at lunch, the principle, who just walks around, grabs my passbook and says, "Lets see where your running too". I was thinkin, you @$$. He read EVERY PAGE. My girlfriend wrote some things in there that he shouldn't see, nothing bad though. His face got all red when he found my Economics paper, which I had drew a stick figure shooting a gun, not at another person, not at anything, just the stick figure and a gun. He threw my book on the table and went to the hall and made a few phone calls. I got in trouble for it but argued my way out. He thought I was a psyo. But, the big thing is, he is doing it to our vehichles, our lockers, our gym bags, EVERYTHING. So we all argue with him when he tries to search something of ours. Schools are not what they used to be, just this year we got locks on all the doors, security cams, and metal detectors. I cant wait till he tries to search me, i'll recite the 4th amendment, then see what he does.
  22. "Dang it slappy, I told you flooding the penitentiary would not get us out, but NOOOOOO, you had to do it, and now look, were stuck" "Thats the last time I follow you in muddy water" "I thought you said we COULD get to that golf course pond"
  23. I'll take a shot........3.350 lbs. This is very nice of you to put up this offer to us young 'uns! Ian
  24. Welcome! I'm in Juniata County. Just wondering, were you fishing a tournament in the Juniata river last weekend? I told a few guys about the site, just wondering if maybe you were one of them.
