Sir Snook is right, IMO. Shane, go to Sorts Authority or Dicks and look at the Redbone rods by Hurricane. They are under 100 bucks and will fit your needs. Honestly, I don't know how Hurricane can get away selling them as cheap as they do- They are decent rods. Check out the Loomis line of the new GL2 series. Loomis supposedly upgraded the components and from what I hear they are decent rods and not priced too high. I was looking at them at BassPro the other day and they actually felt pretty good. They are lighter than the Redbone rod but a tad more expensive and I'm sure better made, even if it is a GL series. I sure the heck wouldn't be using my NRX or GLX on junk fish but I would give serious consideration to the new GL series.

Ther's the same amount of sharks out in the night time as there are in he day time.

#1- My boat is always stored in the garage. #2- My rods are NEVER stored in the boat or garage. They have a special place inside the house. #3- I fish 365 because it's never too cold to fish in S.Florida.

I can afford to fish every day, I just can't afford to fish wherever I want. But, no. I wouldn't get bored of traveling the world, fishing wherever I wanted. heck, I could get by just fine by only fishing 10 different states in the U.S.

People have been catching quality fish in large numbers WAY BEFORE Nanu-Nanu-Fil came out. Stop chasing the ellusive "catch all bait/line" and just learn how to use what you got. Has anyone ever stopped to think that maybe it isn't the lines fault you didn't catch any fish.

I fish the Tortugas and keep fish for 2 days before cleaning them. I take the fish off the hook and toss it in the coller of ice while he's still floppin. We spend 2 nights on the water and head back to captivity to clean our fish, grouper, snapper, cobia, kings, dolphin, and whatever else we catch. Never have been sick after eating any of our catch. I've kept Snook out of the water and ice for 2-3 hours before cleaning them, but it was cool weather and at night. I suggest gutting your fish first, toss it in the fridge for a day or two and you'll be perfectly fine.

Fish are not sick just because they are light in color. Light colored bass generally mean the water is dirty.
