  1. Let's hope this doesn't come to pass. It's one of the most beautiful pristine places in the country. https://www.wilderness.org/articles/press-release/trump-clears-way-toxic-mine-boundary-waters-watershed?fbclid=IwAR3lIMXWeBzMq77EWt1RpUzVOemMwtOe4Ikm1PP8FKXcHY6WiRj_UWT7TfQ
  2. What about a Tatula 100? Are your 100’s the current version with the red spacers on either side of the thumb bar?

  4. Just wondering how everyone Tatula 100 reels are holding up? It was a hot topic and a hot reel for a while, but it's good to know how reels hold up after fishing with them.
  5. I've never tried, but I would say the trailer adds bulk, and action that attracts fish. If anything I would rather run a jig and chatterbait with a trailer, and no skirt.
  6. My first reels were a Mitchell 300 and a Penn 716Z. Those two reels only had automatic bail closing features. But As soon as I got a reel I could manually close, I manually closed each cast.

  8. The best creek top water. I only use 8lb mono. I found 6lb too light, it tangled up, and 10lb too heavy.
  9. #1 St Croix 6'6" LTW ML and Tatula LT 2000 #2 Kuying 6'6" Teton L and Tatula LT 2000 #3 Tatula 6'6" M and Tatula LT 3000 shallow spool #4 G Loomis 6'3" L Bronzeback and Stradic 1000 I love them all equally for the different lures they cover.
  10. TRD and Yum Wooly Bug
  11. TW has tons of Zoom Chunks in stock.
  12. You seem to have a problem that doesn't affect me. There isn't really a need to lock your drag down. I use 30lb braid on almost all of my casting rigs, and I have never had dig in problems when fishing jigs or T rigs. You can make it tight, but you don't have to be concerned about locking it down. Why do you keep your drag very loose? How about somewhere in between locked and very loose? You may not be loading the line on tightly enough to begin with, try reloading nice and tight. Make sure your hooks are sharp, and set firmly.
  13. I personally never see the need to have the knot be long enough to enter the spool. I only use braid to leader on all my casting, and spinning set ups. I tie all my leader knots so they are between the reel and the first guide when in casting position.
  14. They are operating at their limit, no foot shooting going on. I commend them for working how they feel safe, and doing it correctly. California is peaking with Covid now, they should be working to protect their workers and customers, not saving people 10%.
  15. I had a partial reboot at the beginning of the year. These are my main set ups. Not wanting anything for a while. Daiwa reels are all Tatula SV tws, Shimano are Bantam MGL, and Curado K
  16. I have two MC rods. I love them. I have an ultra light with an extra fast action that is my all time favorite UL rod regardless of price. Well made rods that have really nice actions. The Corzza line is really nice.
  17. Cool. Are you aware of what you changed that has allowed you to stop breathing rods?
  18. I'm the one who resurrected your oldie thread. How's your rod breaking going? Did you fix your issue?
  19. Tatula medium action 6'6", 6'8", or 7' choose your length.
  20. How many rods have you broken since this post? It's an oldie of a post, I'm bringing it back.
  21. You going to U40 seal that nice cork?
  22. I have a Champion and a Fury to compare to. I have seen that the Sierra line is slower than the Champion and Fury line. Would that refer to the taper or the crispness of the blank? My Champion has a faster action than my Fury, and if the Sierra is a slower action than the Fury I'm thinking I probably wont enjoy it too much. Looking for a heavy jig rod, that can frog and maybe throw an S-Waver 168 on occasion. Don't really want an over 7' rod.
  23. For 8" Jelly Worms I like the Mustad round bend offset 4/0 grip pin hook. It's a big hook and can deal with the fat head of the worm. Hook up ratio is great. Other baits like beavers, and creatures I prefer Gammy off-set G-Lock and also EWG.
  24. Last winter I bought a bunch of Boss Dock Knocker jig heads and skirts made up a bunch for this season. I've been fishing them all season so far. I have to say they are the best, most snag resistant jigs around wood/brush I have ever used. Excellent hook ups, with a super sharp hook. The design of having the weed guard angled to just above the hook point really works. Durable paint, and great trailer and skirt keeper, the skirts stay put fish after fish. I also love the Boss standard swimjig heads too. Who's rocking these?
