Thanks. I read the story a "long" time ago and thought fog was mentioned. After stumbling upon the video yesterday I honestly assumed it was a different accident because there wasn't even a hint of fog. The angler/driver doesn't have a chance in court. 100% negligent.

Funny, I was going to post pretty much the same thing but "backwards". How do you put your kayak back IN the bed of your truck? I have ZERO problems taking it out of my truck, it's putting it back in. I'll lift the front of the kayak and place it on the tailgate, but then when I move to the back to lift it in, it normally wants to slide off the tailgate. I normally have to catch it and then struggle with it.

I can't offer any help with the rod but since it looks like you are new, just make sure you are aware of everything going on with the tariffs, etc. Many of us have purchased from Japan with great success. However, times have changed. Not only will you pay the 15% tariff, you will most likely also pay a fee to the delivery company. That amount seems to vary. There's a chance it might cost more than if you purchased from the States. Just make sure you are 100% educated before you buy. Good luck either way.

Would a wake bait perform better at night than a popper? Advantages? I went out last night and smashed them with a PopMax. Caught at least 20, maybe 30 total. Some on a swim jig but most on the popper. Wasn't much size to them though. Mostly foot longers. Not being able to see the bait and just hearing the splash will never get old. Ton of fun.

Oh my goodness. I just looked it up. This might be the saddest story you will ever here. The boy that passed away was named Peyton. His father, also died at the age of 21 in Iraq by a roadside bomb. Peyton was 9 months old at the time. So there are relatives that lost their son, husband, etc and now their son, grandson, etc. Life just isn't fair sometimes. I sure hope there is a Heaven.

I wonder if he had some freak medical emergency. He was young, IDK, maybe he was way overweight. But if he tipped, you would think he could at least get back to his kayak and hold on to it. Not like the water was really cold way down South. Tragic event.

I thought they grew big out there. After a quick search just now, it looks like they are not native and many consider them invasive and a problem. No limits and size restrictions are crazy. Do bass get a bad rep as well?

I need to buy some flukes. Looking at a donkey rig in action is pretty dang cool. If I were a bass I probably couldn't resist. Just need to figure out what combo to throw them on. Baitcaster > spinning ?????
