  1. The only issue I had with the Edge boxes at first was there were times I didn't completely close the latch.....one side would miss the lock. User error for sure......now that I'm aware of it I don't have the issue.
  2. Two years ago I didn't do that well with chatterbaits but killed it with swim jigs. This past summer I didn't do well with swim jigs but killed it with chatterbaits..........same waters....... No wonder I always bring way to many lures in my kayak.
  3. Whopper Ploppers........ I have much better luck with wake baits.
  4. I'd love to catch 3 per hour, sometimes there's days where I wish I'd catch 1 per hour. I did have a day once where I was in a remote quarry in my kayak and caught 29 bass between 12-18 inches in less than three hours..........I figured no way was I leaving until I hit 30. It took me two more hours to catch #30 and he was all of 8 inches long.........lol
  5. I've used the Menace or other beaver styles but hooked on so the appendages are sideways.
  6. Boom! Spinnerbait or chatterbait..... Then a nice big jig......screen out the little bass............
  7. Spinnerbait conditions I'd start with that......or a jig amongst the wood. Not spinnerbait conditions I'd go with a chatterbait. Clear water, which I doubt, I'd use an underspin....... Can you tell I like jigs and their relatives!
  8. I like them completely vertical as I'm taking them out of the water to unhook the bass. LOL
  9. You're messing with us. You already know the first answers will entail......size, depth, vegetation......... But I always have a jig on one rod and a spinnerbait, chatterbait, or swim jig on another.
  10. I'm loving the 3700 Edge thins. It's forcing me to bring less tackle in my kayak... But I have four of them, one terminal, and two of the regulars.......so not so limited......lol
  11. I was going to say the same thing regarding shad.........I've caught ton's of bass using shad colors in waters with no shad. More than any other pattern. I would bet that 90% of my hardbaits are a shad variation. People give way to much power of deductive reasoning to a fish.
  12. I order from Amazon, just not off brand stuff that I've never touched in person.
  13. One of my best bass was caught using a a t-rigged craw amongst the shoreline wood. After I'd clear the wood I'd reel it back to me as fast I could for no other reason than to get the next cast in. I was reeling so fast that I swear the craw was skimming along the surface when the bass hit....I doubt I could have reeled any faster than I was.
  14. I have the GT54 and have seen video's of side by side comparison with the GT56 on YouTube. The video's make me want to spend money.......ugh......
  15. I haven't used it yet but spooled three reels with Smackdown and was shocked at how smooth it looked and felt.
  16. Hey, you stole my answer!
  17. I to with mostly chartreuse which is bright, and another that is a darker bluegill color. That's all I've ever needed.
  18. Well I don't bring 15 but as I've said I bring 6-8 and in five years I've been out in rougher winds/waves than I'd prefer but have never come close to tipping. I'm more worried about dropping the one in my hand.
  19. I lost a Jackhammer to a medium sized musky right at my kayak..........when it cut the line I didn't yell "I just lost a muskie" I yelled "I just lost a $15 Jackhammer".
  20. I fish a lot of clear water........underspins kick butt in that clear water.
  21. For me....... Dropshot, wacky is slow fishing Jigs, t-rigs, jerkbaits, slop frogging, is moderate fishing Spinnerbaits, swim jigs, chatters, cranks, is fast fishing.
  22. I hear you on that. I have a few places I fish that if I even THINK treble hook it gets snagged while it's still in the box......lol
  23. One medium/moderate Two medium heavy/fast's One Heavy/fast
