  1. I run both PowerPro and Sufix 832, 20 lb up to 65 pound. When I fill my reel I put pressure on the line by running it between my thumb and finger as I fill the spool. I can say I've never had line dig issues with any of my braid.
  2. I got it this year so I'm assuming it's Gen 2.

I both hop and drag, no rhyme or reason to why or when I switch,,,,,,,I just do. LOL
  4. I should probably order a bunch of Keitech now then. I go through a lot all summer.
  5. Haha, I fished yesterday, 100% cloud cover, 12-15 mph winds, 44 degree air, off and on light mist! Kicked but on the chatterbait. Sunny and no wind I don't use a chatter, I go to a swim jig/paddletail.
  6. I'm using a MegaBass Orochi XX Diablo Spec R, worked great today!
  7. I've never used 40. I use 20, 30, 50. I do use 30 for jigs and chatterbaits.
  8. MH gets my vote too.
  9. I have a lot of MegaBass jerkbaits... I've bent a hook or two, usually trying to get it unstuck from wood, but I've never broken one. I will say I want to cry when I loose one to a snag though.
  10. I just bought one to add to my two Braillists, one Flatside Special and one Swingfire. I've only used it for chatterbaits and spinnerbaits so far but love it.
  11. I was about to recommend the Diablo Spec R! So I guess I'll second that recommendation!
  12. I use 1/4 oz up to 1/2 oz jigs with various trailers. I use a MegaBass Orochi XX Braillist for all of them and call it a day. I'm not concerned even one tiny bit with the exact weight of each jig and it's companion trailer.
  13. That's the net I have... Finally found one that meets my criteria.
  14. I've caught some large Illinois bass on those hooks. I don't change them out.
  15. Happened to me about 5 times fishing.......only counting yesterday! LOL
  16. I fish quarries, A LOT. Structure, structure, structure. Underwater points, humps, piles of rock, shade, all come into play at some point in time. I catch most of my biggest bass where a ledge comes to a point and drops straight down. Many times they are hanging part of the way down the wall, sometimes just on top of the ledge, sometimes even with the ledge but hanging over deep water. What helps for me in summer is determining the thermocline, that eliminates a lot of the water. My most success had been with jigs, both bottom and swim jigs, but early in the year and late in the year jerkbaits also work well. In my main quarry I've found that the big ones don't really relate to stumps and wood like they do in a lake.
  17. I use Keitechs for chatter and spinnerbaits. I use mainly the 3.8 inch. In fact now that I think of it, I only use the 3.8 inch for those two presentations. I use 3.8 and 4.3 for swim jigs and underspins.
  18. I used to hate using a net until I found the one I liked. I wanted rubber coated, I wanted a large mesh. The hooks would still get tangled in rubber, small meshed netting, just not as bad. I would sometimes spend twice as much time getting my lure out of the net than anything else, often finding myself unhooking the bass and leaving the lure tangled in the net. Now that I've found the perfect, to me, net I use it more often.
  19. If you look at the hubcaps on the truck, they aren't turning. He probably was in park.
  20. A lot of yard work, a lot of Netflix, a lot of video chat with family. A fair amount of fishing from my kayak.
  21. My plastics setup is a MegaBass OrochiXX Brailist with a Tatula SV TW. I use it for both weighted and weightless plastics.
  22. I guess I'm the odd man out here. I use 20 lb braid with a 10 lb mono leader.
  23. I had a Seaghost 130, hated the center console.. It was just a big thing to get in the way. Other than that it was a decent kayak.
  24. The other problem with it is that it isn't available right now. It's supposed to be delivered mid April. With all that's going on we shall see. I do really like the looks of it though.
  25. My best producing color in my favorite lake is shad. Swim jigs, jerkbaits, cranks, etc. I doubt that any bass in that lake have ever seen a real live shad.
