You and I bought Santonio Holmes a New Escalade!
Not to get political, but once the government gets involved in a business through loans or equities, than the public taxpayer's interest should be addressed. So everything the company does is scrutinized, rightly so! If I wanted to be vested in GM or any company, I would buy their stock based on performance and management, not be forced to buy into a failing company that is on the verge of bankruptcy. Next thing you know the government will be dictating wages to management, oops it already appears they will. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090204/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bailout_executive_pay Its a slippery slope, gentleman! A very slippery slop.

Everglades reports?
My buddy fished the refuge last week as the front approached, tore them up. Caught over 30 and 3 or 4 over 5lbs! Invited me to go, but I am too busy with the new baby and house chores :-(. He went yesterday and caught a few, said the water temp has dropped, fish were cold.

Any snook & tarpon fisherman?
Born and raised in W. Palm Beach here, live in Gardens now and I would like to get back to fishing Snook like I use to a couple of years ago. I here that Snook Islands in Lake Worth are really good, as well as Juno Beach during the summer. I have some spots scattered throughout the area and would be willing to hookup and fish with a forum member. I also like fishing for Snook from the beach at Sunrise from my spots, but I have a Ranger Intracoastal that is pretty much built for chasing snook. Every June I like going down to the Keys to do some Tarpon fishing though!!

Cold front fishing
Lake Wellington and surrounding canals are AWESOME! Frontal conditions are tough, but try bouncing a a trigged worm deep and you should do great, troll with divers, traps and then go back and fish them with the trig.

Prop
What is the Spline Count? I think Mercs and Yammy's share the same, if so you may only need a different thrust washer.

frog rod
The bait monkey told me to tell you to get this as your perfect frog reel Team Daiwa® Zillion 7.3:1 Hyper-Speed Special Edition I now have 3 frog rods, one for swimming frogs, one for slop, and one for fishing out of my little jon boat. All I have to say is the delay before hookset makes all the difference and having a quick reel to pick up the slack helps tons.

The DOW closed at -449.36 Scary
Dows up 410 Points. This volatility is keeping many people on the sideline, smart move. If your into taking some calculated risk go bottom shopping when you can. Stick to strong fundamentals and you'll see plenty of good value out there.

So. Florida Bass & Peacock bass spawning season?
The spawn in S. FL can be all over the place I usually see peak activity in Late Jan to Feb. Peacocks a bit later when it gets warmer in early March. Have seen multiple spawns though.

Who is your favorite all time quarterback?
I grew up watching Dan Marino play in the Orange Bowl and Joe Robby Stadium, so I am biased, but the guy had no wheels, the defense knew he was slinging it on every down and they still couldn't stop him. Too bad he had no defense, no star running back, or a hall of fame receiver as a supporting team member, maybe he could have won a Super Bowl or 2....or 3. Joe Montana was a good quarterback on a GREAT TEAM, even he acknowledges the fact that Dan was the MAN! Too bad Brady will eclipse everyone!!

Bank Question
With REAL bought 20k shares of WAMU this morning for $1.70 each holding it until tomorrow and I am going to dump it as the market opens. Risky, don't try this at home folks! Hopefully, I can buy that duck boat, but my wife is going to make me buy something for the remodeling of the house!!! >

No Doves in Dixie
No Doves in S. Florida until Oct 6. , our 1st phase of dove season doesn't start until then >. My buddy and I have been out to our private field in Okeechobee and its full of Eurasian doves and a few local mournings, counted 165 on the power ines two weeks ago. Cool thing about it is that Eurasian doves are an invasive species and there is no bag limit. We get the occasional white wing later in the season and when the cold fronts start pushing down the bigger migratory mournings, start flying.
