  1. Just setting the record straight here on Allison's XB-21 BasSport storage capacity according to their website: "Compartments: With over 70 cu. ft. of volume, the BasSport Pro has more rod storage, more tackle storage, more organized storage, and more convenience storage than any other bass boat. All lids have waterproof, flush mounted locks that automatically latch securely when they are closed. Pneumatic lid supports are standard. Rod & Tackle: Allison offers the most rod storage and versatility with 3 types of storage for up to 30 rods. (1.) Organized storage with holders and tubes, (2.) Quick-draw storage allows 5-second access to rods while protecting and keeping them from under foot until needed, and (3.) Bulk storage making it a snap to bundle all rods, stash them in the compartment, and dash back to the weigh-in. Additional quick-draw and other rod storage in the port side compartment can be ordered to almost double the rod storage capacity. A variety of Tackle boxes and trays are designed to hang just under the lids of 5 compartments with up to 12 positions. Other tucked away tackle and accessory boxes are available. " Sounds like any pro can fit everything they could fit in their Ranger, Triton, Skeeter, BassCat, or Champion. Redline due us a favor buy an Allison XB-21 BasSport, put a Mercury 250 Pro XS with a 28" Pitch Hydromotive. I'll pick it up for you and we can run it against your Ranger and then rate fishing comfort levels at next years Road Trip Lake! ;D
  2. X raps? I'm there Sunday then off to Lake Clark for some Peacocks
  3. Both are great reels, owned Revo Premier and have a Zillion. One goes WEEEEEEEE when you cast and the other doesn't. Now no more Revos for me. 8-) Check out these post: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1236300420 http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1236067429
  4. Now imagine casting to multiple targets in quick progression on a 10 hour fishing trip....hearing weeeeee on every cast! Even the guy at the back of the boat said is that a "new" reel. I'm one of those "people" I tried multiple Premiers when they first came out them thinking they were defective. Even sold one for cheap in the Flea Market. Call me stupid but I didn't like the sound. Reminded me of a Team Daiwa X that made the exact same sound and it turned out to be a bad bearing. On a positive note the reel was light, could cast to Pluto, and was buttery smooth.
  5. Reason I bought my combo, loaner rig for tree catchers!
  6. I've used both for years, toss up. I like motor guide on inshore boats and Kota on bass boats. That said I really like the looks/feeatures of the Minn Kota Fortex. http://www.***.com/descpageMKTM-MKFBM.html
  7. Nice, bet that boat gets out of the hole faster than any glass rig!
  8. I have a 7ft. spinner M its a good budget rod, I think its a premier blank.
  9. How fast is that bad boy?
  10. You mean you don't mind the sound on cast? It drove me nuts after 5 or 6 cast! I didn't notice any performance problems either, but why?
  11. Shop vac! Add H2O to spill and vacuum it up, repeat! Funny story though!
  12. Dude you got a deal! You can fix up the trailer and get $300 to $400 for it alone. If the motor runs that is another $1500 to $2000.
  13. Sorry, I posted the XB-21 2+2 image that seat 4 people. I've corrected the pic to show the bigger casting deck on the regular tournament boat deck.
  14. Many of us dream of being BASS or FLW Pro and would like to have their fast fully loaded rigs, but I haven't seen any run an Allison or Bullet, why is this? Would they not have an advantage of getting to a spot faster than the next guy or extending their time on the water? If it were me I would run an Allison XB-21 with the max allowable horsepower. Its probably that Allison or Bullet are from smaller manufactures, but if anyone has a better explanation please elaborate.
  15. Awhile back I reported on the Revo Premier and had the exact same issue. I ended up going through 2 of them and sold the 3rd one in the Flea Market for a lose! Its a shame though cause I really wanted to like that reel. :-/ My Daiwa and Shimano reels don't mind have the rule of the house though ;D
  16. I don't fish jigs much either here in S FL, but I've had some luck fishing in deeper canals that have little weed. I think most Floridians opt for a t-rigged creature bait as a substitute.
  17. Avoid BIG 3 cars
  18. A bottom can never be timed. Or should I say the market can never predicted. If you have a long term outllook I suggest you buy, but avoid the finance, insurance, retail, or automobile sector in the short-term. Too many crazy things going on right now. Not to get political, but if a company is bound to fail don't bail it out for bailing out sake. The dust will settle people and there will be viable companies that hopefully aren't all owned by taxpayers. Failure is an option, let the markets BE!
  19. From HOME, I'm a money manager/investment advisor, so I am tied to the markets throughout the day, but have only a handful of clients so I'm not constantly trading. The cool thing about it is having a lake in my backyard.
  20. What, I loved his rest of the story segment! I think his son is carrying on in his footsteps. Sad day.
  21. Cool story, great fish! Did you take any pics of the 8lb?
  22. I live in Palm Beach Gardens! So send me a PM or email when you get in. I'll try to set some fishing days.
