  1. Dispose of it or put it up for sale yourself, and when you get back strike up a conversation with him about the T.V. and say that you found it strange that it was on your property so you sold it and made some $$$. That should get him to fess up if he did it or not and if he did then you know your have a rotten neighbor next time an issue comes up.
  2. I believe its on article on David Giudice and his sponsor, a Mental Health Center, for the Southern Open. I personally think its an inspiration for those with disabilities, but I can find the humor in it as well He is an inspiration to people with disabilities? I think I have a better chance of inspiring a weight watchers group. :-? He is a DEAF and bipolar! Maybe he can get a boat sponsorship from Slim Fast. I can just see it now David Guidance wins Southern Open in his Slim Fast wrapped Skeeter, beating out Speedbead by an ounce .
  3. On all my Spro's I cut the legs back so they are about as long as the body. I also cut down the strands so they don't stick, I roughly cut half of them back to the insertion point, its important to get them cut back so the stubs don't grab weed. I also like painting the hook eye flat black so as not to have a silvery shine. If you really want to walk the dog with them, go ahead and leave on of the legs about 1/4 inch longer, the extra drag will make walking the dog easier. Certain color of Spro's have a bit stiffer plastic. I'm not sure if it works but I spray silicon over the top portion of the body and work it like a leather glove., not sure if it makes a difference, but it inspires confidence. Lastly, I've experimented a bit by adding a think layer of silicon sealant around the hook exit points, to prevent water logging, but I found that it doesn't help much and when it does get some water in it, sealant makes it tougher to get the water out. Another good frog that is bit lighter and floats in a more horizontal position is the Swamp Donkey. I like the Swamp Donkey cause it moves through the thick stuff a bit easier. River to Sea also makes a nice frog.
  4. After a recent poll came up asking forum members to post about their rides, I came up with a pretty long list of bass boats. The bold text are what "I ASSume" are the most popular. After reading this please post the make, model, year, and outboard power (make model year) you own. I think it would be great to ask owners about similar setups and compare notes. Here is my list: Allison Bass Cat Big O Bullet Blazer Charger Champion G3 Gambler Hydra Sports Javelin Legend Lund Nitro Phoenix Polar Kraft Pro Craft Ranger Sprint Swift Storm Skeeter Stratos Triton Tracker Viper Cobra Xpress I own a: 2003 Ranger 185VS (Intracoastal Edition, Single Console) Minn Kota Maxxum 80 24V Trolling Motor Powered by a 150HP 2003 Yamaha VMax Series (Carbed), with a Powertech TRO4 prop, I run with a 25" pitch prop as my main but have a 24" as my spare.

  6. I was on the Farm Pond with my little 14 foot jon boat trolling along the backlot through the trees and I thought I hit one, I was wrong it was a HUGE A@@ GATOR! Its gigantic head surfaced about 1 foot away from the staring the trolling motor down as if it were its next meal, I quickly laid down on the front of the boat with no part of my body above the gunnel (hard to do when your 6'2"). I told my buddy to crank the kicker and get us out of there ASAP! As he cranked it, the wake of the gator's tail rocked the boat. The gator could have easily lunged at me on the front deck! Stick Marsh and Farm Pond have some HUGE GATORS and I think this one was thinking he could take the 14 jon boat!
  7. You are right 4th season was last year!
  8. Oops they were supposed to do that, time to start digging the old mobile home tackle box.
  9. Try Tuff Coat: http://www.ultratuff.net/
  10. 4th Season Premiers Tonight! Any fans here?
  11. I use to love it as a kid, great show. Anyway, I don't know if this is true or not, but I remember speaking with a guide as a kid on the Big "O". He basically said Mr. Wilson did not earn his stripes in the fishing world. He married into money and daddy's ittle rich girl paid the way in for Orlando. I remember being taken back with the news, cause I really liked his show and thought no way, the guys a shame? Not a real tournament angler! Say it isn't so . Please someone clear the air on this so I can resume a normal life ;D
  12. I just brought a CLUB to a KNIFE fight? Guess who lost?
  13. Went out yesterday, 4-13-09, late afternoon, more to run the boat after servicing to make sure all was good. Ran from the Southern Blvd. on the north end down to the flats. My buddy and I ended up catching 8 fish in about 2 1/2 hours of fishing. The biggest went 4lbs on a 10" worm on the canal south of the flats. The other bass came off Spro frogs and flukes. Bassn' we need to hook up and go to the Stick Marsh or Farm Pond, my boat or yours? It looks like its on FIRE!! A weekday would be best.
  14. Great fishing outing! When it's on, its ON at the MARSH, after thunderstorms roll through the bass fishing can get spectacular.
  15. No ESPN Glitz with the helicopter views and the crazy anglers screaming, but I thought it was alright. I can't believe Scott Martin Zeroed with all the darn hits he as getting, don't you think he should have switched to a hollow body frog and slow down a bit, or threw some follow up cast immediately instead of going GOSH did you see that I can't believe it!
  16. Getting a barge bass boat to float in skinny water is "easy" if loaded correctly, but the REAL skinny water factor is not if it will float it, its if you can take-off. That's why I won't even think of taking my Ranger Intracoastal with a jackplate up to Titusville, unless I want to dredge the bottom with my outboard's skeg. That's why there are flats boats!
  17. I have a custom IMX 6' rod that is my favorite of a stable of GLXs, Dobyns, Cumuras, Avids, and All Stars. I think you can't beat a custom rod.
  18. ?:-?? I think its a transcript.
  19. Some hedge fund managers were savvy and pulled out, many others were not so lucky. Folks there is NO HUGE conspiracy here, so people look like they know what they are talking about are only playing Monday morning QB, because they predicted something correctly. Also, Sir Snook Alot said we are officially in recovery mode, so who do we thank for the quick recovery Obama or Bush? Problem is you can't predict it correctly. I am of the opinion that we have seen a bottom, but there are many people out there that say its still a bear market and that rise is only a positive bump in a bear market. Who is right? Couldn't tell you. You can look at trends, but trends don't always tell the story correctly 100% of the time. Also, if you are close to retirement you should be heavily vested in treasury notes and bonds! Financial planning 101. I'm pretty conservative in my investment options. I may not make a killing during the upswings in the market, but being down 15-25% vs close to 30-45% is not so bad. Plus my clients have cash flow from their bonds!
  20. Bingo! You can almost fish topwater here all day every day. Nothing like a top water bite. My current favorites are Spro's pop'n frog almost to a fault I throw that thing, when I should be cranking or spinnerbating, or Senko-ing, but boy does it catch the berthas!
  21. Mañana=Tomorrow for those who don't know. Miami is full of slackers, it may be culture. Unless there is a fiscal incentive tied into the work most of the time you WILL NOT get the work done on time. I am still battling my wood floorer to come back and finish fixing a bad plank, its always this and that.
  22. Dude, tell me about that craters holding bass!! I recently posted a pic of my backyard outing and I pulled the hawg off the crater my Jon Boat creates when I power it onto the bank. Its about 2 foot deeper than surrounding area and I can see the bass, bluegill, and tilipia sitting in it all the time! My sweet spot is 3/4 of my trailer fenders in the water. I still give the engine a small burst right as I come into the trailer keeps the nose up if trimmed up and gets me close to the winch. Sometimes we have really shallow ramps and I can't get the trailer back far enough without getting my truck's back tires wet, so I powerload. Having a good partner though is king!
  23. Tell me about it you better be screaming across the top and raise it on the jackplate cause it is tough. Wish my Intracoastal could transform into an Airboat! Good outing Bassn, we need to hook up soon and tear some lips.
  24. Dude, born and raised in West Palm Beach. Fished Okeeheelee Park and I can tell you the water in the lake is not the color of one of you pictures, it is crystal clear or chalky in consistency. So it looks to me HAWK that it is drum roll please Lake XXXXXXXXXX . Also, Lake Okeeheelee is a CATCH AND RELEASE lake only, so you can't keep bass. I would agree with you about posting and keeping your spot secret if it is on a local heavily pressured lake with meat catchers though, kind of like Lake XXXXXXXXXX! Congrats man, I've been slaying them in that area my whole life. I've got some a few honey holes there myself ;D
