New metanium mgl
I'm picking one up Saturday, was wondering if anyone else got a hold of one yet, seeing if it's worth it over the old mgl and dc.

Casting to your left, my first post
Whenever I'm in a boat I'm always stuck at the back and being right handed I had to pretty much adapt to being able to cast with my left hand if we were cruising with the bank to my left. Everything takes practice, all you have to do.

Anyone use Kalex braid?
Was checking out some braided line on amazon and came across this, I've read that's it's a product from pure fishing, was just wondering if it's worth a shot?

Smoke S3 casting reels.
The Smoke S3 is a tank In my opinion, the gen2 were nice and casted far but the S3 feel far beyond what the gen2 was. The S3 is way more smooth and feels more solid, you can really tell they wanted to make something people would be proud to show off. Very nice oversized knobs on the handle as well, good for average to large hands and handle itself is a great length. It casts further then my curado K and feels just as solid. I will say I do nest it a little bit more then my curado K but i find myself pushing my smoke S3 harder. The main gear is a nice big beefy gear, came from the factory with a good amount of grease but I still loved it myself and the bearings are great. The tour S3 also has a sapphire washer under the tension knob where the smoke S3 does not. They were really going on about that at a couple of expos I went to. All in all the smoke S3 is a very underrated reel and talking about it now is making me want another one.

Show off your Stuff
The girlfriend wanted her own reel, so I turned a curado 200G6 into a reel she will like. I sanded down some edges to make it look like it's been beat up and threw on some new knobs.

300+ to spend on new rod
Thanks guys for the recommendations, I considered what your guys said and looked into each and where to get and how much it would cost to have shipped. I ended up contacting a buddy of mine with some connections to some jdm guys and ended up with 2 brand new rods. 2020 shimano zodias 172H and shimano expride 172MH. that are awesome and I cant wait to use them!! I posted some pictures in the tackle purchase thread.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
I finally got one of my bucket list reels, curado 200E7 and I found 2 of them for a steal, one is a little beat up and the other is almost mint. I also got the brand new zodias 172H and Expride 172MH. Man they are nice!! The new Zodias is much more balanced then the last gen and paired with the scorpion mgl... Man it's a looker!!!

300+ to spend on new rod
I'm really leaning towards an imx pro, it's pretty much the easiest to get my hands on and the reviews for it are great

300+ to spend on new rod
I'd like a more all around rod, I'd like to see what I a high end rod can do, I usually stick to the 150-200 range so I want to get as much use as I can before I sell the rest of the rods and go all high end. I would but shipping a custom rod to Canada... I do not trust the canadian postal service at all! The legends are pretty common around here, would you consider that a better option over the imx pro? I love the look of the grip and how they handle, but I also like the 1 piece cork handle on the imx pro.

300+ to spend on new rod
I sold a couple rods to thin out the line up and looking to get a high end rod, looking for a good medium heavy. I was thinking about an IMX pro seeing that they are on sale at a local store right now but also curious to see what other options I might want to consider. Dobyns rods are hard to come by where I live.
