Trailer swing tongue slop/play
I put this anti-rattle device on a while back, thinking that was the issue. But it turns out that wasn't the problem. https://www.amazon.com/Titan-Tightener-Anti-Rattle-Receivers-Heavy-Duty/dp/B01IO2N44E I don't know what it is, but the sound makes me cringe. I know it's not normal.

Trailer swing tongue slop/play
I have a new caravan trailer that is making an awful creak/clunk noise around the hitch/coupler area. The dealer where I bought the boat looked at everything and said it all seems fine, and that the noise is maybe on my end. Everything is tight on my end (aftermarket hitch), so I'm not sure I believe that. I mentioned to them the the swing tongue has some play in it, horizontally and vertically. They said that's completely normal. Now, I don't think that's what's causing this noise, but is it normal for there to be some slop?

Yum Tip Toad vs Stanley Ribbit
Ya know, I have a bottle of Mend-It, and didn't even think about using it on these.

TX rig or screw lock?

"Best" soft plastic...
This is tough. I throw a bunch of stuff that others have mentioned. But if I had to choose one, I'd say my favorite is a Texas-rigged Pit Boss in black/blue. Kind of surprised how little it's been mentioned in here.

Yum Tip Toad vs Stanley Ribbit
So, I've never been one to fish soft body frogs/toads much. Usually just the hollow bodied. But today I figured I'd put to use some Stanley Ribbit's (the 3.5") that have been getting neglected for a few years. The bass (and pike) were all over it. I couldn't burn it fast enough for them. Good times! Anyways, one bait was good for maybe 2 fish. They tore quite easily. I was using a 4/0 EWG hook. Would a screw lock work better on these? Also, how does the Yum Tip Toad compare to the Ribbit? Sound-wise? Durability? Thanks!

Show your ride...
I WAS happy with my new boat...until I saw this. This thing is ridiculous.

hollow body frogs or soft plastic frogs
What rod and line are you using? Also, which frog(s)?

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Here's the difference between a married man and a single man (me). After reading GReb's post, I'm thinking "so she gets to spend $300, and you get a free $20 coupon, and that's fair? What kind of deal is THAT"? Then Burke, who I'm also assuming must be married, replies with "awesome wife". Pretty sure I'll never be married. ?

PaddleTail Swimbaits!
YES. I started using them this year (7" version). I get some very aggressive strikes on them (pike lover them too).

Frog preferences?
Where I fish, most of the bass' forage is bluegill. When bluegill spend a good amount of their time under mats, they turn very dark...almost black. A black frog mimics those bluegills the best IMO. I've been doing very well throwing black in the middle of the day without a cloud in the sky. I like Booyah and Live Target, but don't sleep on the Scum Frog Pro Series. Excellent hookup ratio. And also has a rattle.

Black sun gear (shirts)
Yeah, I found it odd too but then I saw a handful of articles talking about it, so it made me wonder. I'm curious why companies even make sun gear in black then. I suppose for cooler spring/fall days.

Black sun gear (shirts)
We've always been told that the worst color to wear in the sun is black. But after seeing sun/UV clothes in black, it made me wonder. After reading up on it, black may be the coolest color to wear, afterall. Does anybody wear black sun/UV gear? If so, what are your thoughts compared to the other colors? https://io9.gizmodo.com/5903956/the-physics-that-explain-why-you-should-wear-black-this-summer

Which brands? There's a lot of brands that won't show you the discount until you go to checkout. For example, for their 4th of July sale the St. Croix rods weren't marked down. Until I put one in my cart and checked out, then it subtracted the difference.

POP MAX Female Gill
I've thought about trying a steel leader, but didn't wanna mess with the action of the baits. These seems way more subtle. What kind of knot do you use to tie it to your main line? To the lure?
-
POP MAX Female Gill
I agree with this...until a Pike or Muskie bites you off. ?
-
POP MAX Female Gill
Heck of a beast! Pop Max has some beautiful paint jobs. This one almost looks too cool to throw.

Cleaning aluminum boat with pressure/power washer?
One more question. Can you use this on your plastic outboard cover as well?

Cleaning aluminum boat with pressure/power washer?
I do dig the smell of Slick Mist. May spritz a bit on myself next time I take me lady out. How about the plastic windshield on your guys' boats. What do you use on that without scratching the plastic?
