Insulted
Insulted .. Upon arriving home, a husband was met at the door by his sobbing wife Tearfully, she explained, 'It's the druggist. He insulted me terribly this morning on the phone. I had to call multiple times before he would even answer the phone.' Immediately, the husband drove downtown to confront the druggist and demand an apology. Before he could say more than a word or two, the druggist told him, 'Now, just a minute, listen to my side of it. This morning, the alarm failed to go off, so I was late getting up. I went without breakfast and hurried out to the car, just to realize that I'd locked the house with both house and car keys in side and had to break a window to get my keys. 'Then, driving a little too fast, I got a speeding ticket. Later, when I was about three blocks from the store, I had a flat tire.' 'When I finally got to the store, a bunch of people were waiting for me to open up. I got the store opened and started waiting on these people. All the time, the darn phone was ringing off the hook.' He continued, 'Then, I had to break a roll of nickels against the cash register drawer to make change, and they spilled all over the floor. I had to get down on my hands and knees to pick up the nickels, and the phone was still ringing. When I came up I cracked my head on the open cash drawer, which made me stagger back against a showcase with a bunch of perfume bottles on it. Half of them hit the floor and broke.' 'Meanwhile, the phone is still ringing with no let up, and I finally got back to answer it. It was your wife. She wanted to know how to use a rectal thermometer. And believe me mister, as God is my witness, all I did was tell her. ;D

trailer tires
It's probably over kill. If I'm going to let it sit for a while I do hook to it every once and a while and pull it down the road to keep the wheel bearings freed ed up.

inflatable PFD's - Mustang, Sospenders, etc.
My wife bought me the Mustang Sup because they are suppose to be the best and she said I was worth keeping. They are very comfortable and they will adjust for winter. I don't know how good they work because I haven't needed it yet. The rearm kit is kind of pricey at about $70 bucks. The mustang will not inflate prematurely. I also have a set of the manual type but We got to thinking what if I get Knocked unconscious when I fall out. :-[ I have always wondered why we pay $400 + for a rod and reel and then buy the cheapest life vest we can find, it just don't make no sense. Also with the Mustang I find myself wearing it all the time. I love my Mustang

How long do you stay?
I fished the ABA tournament today and sit on one hole all day. I caught 14 4-5 pounders out of it and 4 keeper fish to take second place. The 4 and 5 pounders are slot fish on the lake I was fishing and you have to throw them back. :

A Different Christmas Poem
The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light, I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight. My wife was asleep, her head on my chest, My daughter beside me, angelic in rest. Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white, Transforming the yard to a winter delight. The sparkling lights in the tree I believe, Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve. My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep, Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep. In perfect contentment, or so it would seem, So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream. The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near, But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear. Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know, Then the sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow. My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear, And I crept to the door just to see who was near. Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night, A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight. A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old, Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold. Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled, Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child. 'What are you doing?' I asked without fear, 'Come in this moment, it's freezing out here! Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve, You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!' For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift, Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts. To the window that danced with a warm fire's light Then he sighed and he said 'Its really all right, I'm out here by choice. I'm here every night.' 'It's my duty to stand at the front of the line, That separates you from the darkest of times. No one had to ask or beg or implore me, I'm proud to stand here like my fathers before me. My Gramps died at 'Pearl on a day in December,' Then he sighed, 'That's a Christmas 'Gram always remembers.' My dad stood his watch in the jungles of 'Nam', And now it is my turn and so, here I am. I've not seen my own son in more than a while, But my wife sends me pictures, he's sure got her smile. Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag, The red, white, and blue... an American flag. I can live through the cold and the being alone, Away from my family, my house and my home. I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet, I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat. I can carry the weight of killing another, Or lay down my life with my sister and brother.. Who stand at the front against any and all, To ensure for all time that this flag will not fall.' ' So go back inside,' he said, 'harbor no fright, Your family is waiting and I'll be all right.' 'But isn't there something I can do, at the least, 'Give you money,' I asked, 'or prepare you a feast? It seems all too little for all that you've done, For being away from your wife and your son.' Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret, 'Just tell us you love us, and never forget. To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone, To stand your own watch, no matter how long. For when we come home, either standing or dead, To know you remember we fought and we bled. Is payment enough, and with that we will trust, That we mattered to you as you mattered to us.' PLEASE, would you do me the kind favor of sending this to as many people as you can? Christmas will be coming soon and some credit is due to our U.S service men and women for our being able to celebrate these festivities. Let's try in this small way to pay a tiny bit of what we owe. Make people stop and think of our heroes, living and dead, who sacrificed themselves for us. LCDR Jeff Giles, SC, USN 30th Naval Construction Regiment OIC, Logistics Cell One Al Taqqadum, Iraq

270 Winchester vs. 30-06 Springfield
I have a 270 Winchester and I went out and bought a Weathersby 270 mag. I like it also but I don't enjoy buying the high dollar ammo. Speaking of ammo, I hear they are going to let us keep our 2nd Amendment Rights but they are coming after our ammo wich is not mentioned in the 2nd Amendment. :

Pa won't like it
A farm boy accidentally overturned a wagon of corn on the road. A nearby farmer saw the accident and went over to have a look and found the boy trying to right the tipped wagon. "Hey Chris," the farmer said. "Forget your troubles for a spell....its late, come have dinner with us. I'll help you with that wagon after we eat." "That's mighty nice of you, but Pa won't like that," Chris replied. "Aw, come on son. Take a break," the farmer insisted. "Well, okay," the boy finally agreed. "But Pa won't like it." After a hearty meal, Chris thanked the farmer. "I feel a lot better now, but I just know that Pa will be upset." "Nonsense," the farmer said. "Where is your pa anyway?" "Under the wagon." ;D

Headline News!
They don't need no bail out, let them tighten their belts like we have to do. They have about priced their selves out of business now. anyone that is in business knows that you have to have a savings account to put a little money aside for hard times. Whats so bad is when they start cutting back the dummies always start at the bottom and work up when the should be starting at the top and working down. And whats so bad is they are trying to get a country to bail them out that is already broke, we are living off of foreign countries now. :'(
