  1. First off I would like to thank all of you for the input. I have 4 packs on there way and I had a couple of other things to get anyway. The only thing that is a little disturbing is that you get the colors that they send you with near no choice. I look at it two ways 1st that if I get a color I really don't care for I don't and will not sell it on ebay but some might. 2nd They are so hard to get that I only got a few packs on the order because I have not fished them before and I'm done spending a ton of money on baits and colors without fishing them first. This may come back to bit me in the butt if they are as good as people say they are because I don't know when I'll have another 1 1/2 hours to spend tring to get through on the phone.

  3. I was just wondering what everyones view was on the way that Basstrix and USAC proshops are handling the sells of the paddle tail swimbaits.
  4. When fishing spinning gear it's the only fluorocarbon line to use. When you have a spinning rod in your hand as much as I due on the deep clear water lakes fluorocarbon is a must. Seaguar Invizx handles aswell as most mono's on spinning gear.
  5. What is everyones choice in crankbait rods for big deep running crankbaits like D20 Lucky Crafts and DD22 Normans? What length, power, action ect.
  6. Lucky Craft RC 1.5 and SKT's
  7. SM: Tube (green pumpkin) LM: Jig (brown w/ green pumpkin trailer)
  8. St Croix Lenend Elite 6'8 Med X-Fast with a Team Daiwa Sol But I'm picking up a St Croix Legend Elite 7'0 Med Fast with a Team Daiwa Sol this weekend so that might change. 99% of the time I use 1/8oz head with 6lb
  9. Bass Hammer Does the Lucky Craft or Jackall baits stink worst? Because I have never caught a fish on a Lucky Craft lure. I just have boxes full of Lucky Craft baits because I'm looooooaded. At least thats what I tell everyone. ;D ;D ;D ;D
  10. The bait monkey got me today. I was in a store that I'm usally not in today and they had some jackall baits. I just had to buy a couple or I couldn't live with myself the rest of the day. I picked up the Smash Minnow and the Mikey Jr. I have never fished any jackall baits so any feedback on these baits would help. The bait monkey just slapped me upside the head because I didn't tell you that I picked up a new St. Croix Legend Tournament rod also.
  11. That just made my day!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
  12. 1 Crooked Creek Tube (green pumpkin, green pumpkin w/ purple flk, green pumpkin w/ copper flk) 2 GYCB Senko (green pumpkin/watermelon and watermelon red flk) 3 Zoom Lil Critter Craw (green pumpkin) 4 GYCB Grub (green pumpkin, watermelon, and cinnamon brown w/ green flk) 5 Zoom Finesse Worm (watermelon candy)
  13. The GYCB single tail and double tail grubs are the only ones that I will use. I use the 4 and 5 inch in both the single and double tail. They are some of the best products in the GYCB line. The smallmouth love the GYCB grubs and there really not that expencive you get 20 to a bag at the bargin GYCB price of $5.99
  14. The stradic gets my vote out of the two!!!! If we were talking about the daiwa sol that would be another story. ;D ;D ;D
  15. Owner mosquito hooks if i'm nose hooking he bait and the owner dropshot or rebarb if i'm rigging it weedless.
  16. Has anyone tried the new gulp alive? I have heard alot of great things about it from friends on there pro staff. I know a few of the guys on the elite series were using it on Erie. I have not even tried the regular gulp.
  17. If quality gear will increase my catch ratio due to whatever factor it may be and I cash a check then I guess it payed for itself. But till you use the rod, reel, ect. then don't judge people who do. Just my two cents!!!!!!!!
  18. That rod will get them to the net fast!!!! Thanks, for the help the other night fourbizzle!!!!!
  19. The bandits are the way to go on a budget. If you come across some extra cash the RC 1.5, GDSs, and Skeet Mini's have all been great for me this year.
  20. First off I must say Im a St Croix guy. I have nothing bad to say about G loomis and from what I heard from friends that fish them there a great rod. When you step up to a higher end rods G loomis, St Croix, ect. you gain sensitivity and the graphite is more fragile. If you look in the back of the G loomis cataloge Gary Loomis says I COULD MAKE A ROD THAT WON'T BREAK BUT YOU WOULDN'T WANT TO FISH WITH IT. My point is that the top of the line rods will break. Choose one that has a good warranty.
  21. I would fish 3in senkos, small tubes with a light weight and use it as a backup drop shot rod. At that price you can't go wrong. I would buy one if I came by that deal. Just my 2 cents!!!!
  22. I fish the St Croix Legend Tournament Rods and don't have one thing bad to say about them. -TBS68MXF (2) -TBS69MLXF (1) -TBC68MXF (2) -TBC66MHF (1) -TBC70MM (1) -TBC70MHF (1) I have about 4 or 5 more on the wish list!!! ;D ;D ;D I also fish a couple of Legend Elites also and they are the real deal!!!!!
  23. I just had to place my 2 cents into this topic. First of all why do alot of major companies plaster there names all over the kids at the JR World Championships (because kids sell product and its great PR work). Secondly, alot of companies will only sponser anglers that do work and help with events that are kid based. This is one of the things that set you apart from the other anglers tring to get the same sponsership. These young anglers are the future of the sport that we love so much. If we run all these kids away from the sport there will be less anglers in the future. Less anglers in the future means less sells and less profit for the companies. If you do some research I bet you would find that most of the anglers in BASS and the FLW do or have done some kind of work that is youth based. There is no need for a Barry Bonds type in bass fishing. If you have never done some type of event with the youth and fishing I encourge you to do so. It is one of the most rewarding moments you'll have related to fishing. Even more then the nuumber of tournaments you have placed in or won. Just my 2 cents!!!
