Which St Croix Avid rod for topwater?
The St. Croix TBC68MXF and the TBC70HF will fit all your topwater needs. If you don't need the new split grips you should find them for around $150 each on closeout.

360 tackle bag??
Go to the local tackle shop and look at the soft sided bags. Then take a bunch of 3600 plano boxes and see how many you can fit in each bag. Make sure it fits the way you like your boxes to be in the bag. I have a plano bag that was desinged to fit the 3700. I switched to the 3600 boxes and can fit 12 of them into my bag. I also have room for sents, sunglasses, extra plastics, towel, snips, ect. in the 2 side pockets. Experiment with different bags and sizes of boxes till you find the one that fits your needs.

BPS Thanksgiving Sale
Sale or should I say what sale! The fisherman really got the shaft on any good deals. There was nothing on sale in fishing at the store by me. Did anyone else feel the same way?

Lucky Craft Pointers 100 VS. 128
Pointer 100 vs. Pointer 128 Will a larger bass pass on eating a smaller bait like the 100 but will eat the 128? Will you get more numbers on the 100 and less on the 128? Is there a any pro's to fishing the 128 and just not fishing the 100? Would the 100 be a better choice in clear water and the 128 in stained water? Any other feedback would be helpful! These are the things that I think about when I'm not on the water and have too much time on my hands ;D

Cabelas Prodigy
I would check if you can get parts for it. If the reel breaks you can not fix it because there are no parts for them. The reel is usless and you can throw it into the trash. Cabelas will only take a reel back with in a years time I believe.

clear water....what line
P-line halo is a fluorocarbon line. It would be a great for the conditions your fishing.

BASS Federation Nation coming to KS
They better have some more stable water levels next year then they did this year. Look at the weekend angler results from this year. They were not that great. Not that bad of a lake if the water levels are somewhat stable. It will be intersting to see how it plays out.

Daiwa SOL
You will love that reel on that rod. I would spool it with 8lb or 10lb seaguar invizx.
-
Light Reel to Put on a Carrot Stick
I would wait and get a great reel to go with the great rod when you have some extra cash. If you just go out and buy a reel that is cheap you'll be replacing it and spending more money in the long run.

Advice for new baitcaster
You might want to look at the daiwa TD advantage super tuned it comes in a left hand model. It had good reviews on tackle tour. It comes in 6.3:1 gear ratio. I wouldn't go with anything more high speed for crankbaits. The price is around $150. TDA153HSTLA (left hand retrieve)

SOL vs Fuego
What rod and tech are you going to use the reel for? I'm guessing that your talking about the baitcasting. I use the sol on my light crankbait rod and love it. The Sol is a 5.8:1 and the Fuego is 6.3:1 The Sol holds 10/105 12/90 and the Fuego holds 12/120 14/100 of line. The Sol is 7.40 oz and the Fuego is 7.60 oz and the Sol is a smaller profile reel aswell. I fish Daiwa reels and the Sol is a great reel. However, I think that there are better choices in the Daiwa line then the Fuego. IMHO If your talking spinning reels I would go with the Sol hands down and I have never fished the Fuego. Thats how much I like the the Sol spinning reel. If I could afford to change out my stradics and replace them with Sols I would in a second. I'm working on it and have 3 more to go. I hope that the info was helpful but I must run I hear the Shimano posse coming ;D ;D ;D

Dropshot rod
I use a St Croix TB69MLXF I Tried a 7 foot rod and it just felt to long for me to dropshot with. I just felt like I wasn't in contact with my bait.

Avid 7ft. MF?
Sorry the AC70MHF is not on sale the AC70MF will be fine for plastics, light jigs, senko type baits, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, topwater and lipless crankbaits. Good multi purpose rod but you better get on the phone and order one before they are gone.
-
Avid 7ft. MF?
AC70MHF now call and order your rod.
-
40% off most St. Croix @ Reedssports....
Thats got to be the best deal of the year!!!!!!!
-
Trying a new jig, which of these 2 you suggest?
If your going fun fishing and not fishing a tournament buy one of each and fish both and make a choice of the one you like the best. If your fishing a tournament don't change what you have been fishing. Fish what you have confidence in.

Smaller Rattle traps
The size of the bass should not be the big concern when choosing the size of the lure. Small bass will hit baits bigger then they are. When choosing a size of bait I find that the most important thing is to match the size of the bait fish they are feeding on. Lucky Craft makes a couple of smaller versions that are great baits.

Picked up a few new baits today.
Let me know how you like the new crankbaits? They look nice but have not tried them I just can't seem to tie on anything but lucky craft latley. I just have some much confidence in the LC's.

st. croix premier
They are a good rod for the price. The advice I would give you is just buy the avid for a little more money. If your really wanting to go wild buy the legend tournament or legend elite.
