I personally would get an ultrex 80/45 and a Garmin echomap uhd93sv. That'd keep you in budget. I like the Garmin trolling motor but it's expensive. And with one Garmin graph you can network the 2.

As long as I can stand on the deck without going swimming and get back to the ramp safely I'll fish. Wind is your friend a lot of times.

I have a creek in my backyard thankfully. So anytime I wanna go fishing I can. It makes fishing simple. Launch the ole canoe with a ml spinning rod and a couple baits and have at it. Floated with my 6 year old last spring with 2 baits. A wee craw and A mini buzz bait. 6 hour float and caught right around 70 smallmouth and spots.

Have you tried the good ole #7 shad rap? That's a cold water skunk killer.

I'm from west central Arkansas. Welcome to the natural state. Really don't know jack about the fishing down there. Probably not an abundance of smallmouth though. Wish I could help you out. Good luck.

You're probably not gonna get a trolling motor for $1500 with all those capabilities. Namely because I don't think any other trolling motor that'll link with lowrance other than the ghost. You could probably find something with spot lock in that range but that's about it.

10 minute drive to the nearest ramp on lake ouachita. Takes about 2 minutes to drag the canoe to the creek in the back yard that leads to said lake. Live within an hour of half a dozen quality lakes and 4 or 5 good rivers. Biggest problem is finding time to take advantage of it all.

A 1/4 oz Shakey head with a candy craw fat baby finesse worm. I'm pretty sure I could catch fish year round anywhere within driving distance on that. And for smallmouth a rebel wee craw in Louisiana craw or something like that

A lucky strike bass magic hollow body swimbait on a half ounce fish head Greg Vinson swimbait head. Weighed 5.8 lbs. Caught a 3+ lb spot on a drop shot berkley havoc bottom hopper too.

A lawn chair. We were struggling in a tournament and I was super excited to finally feel something heavy. Didn't fight much though.

I guess it'd be a pH custom lures crazy ace. I bought it at the flea market for like $5 but they cost $25 new.

I live in rural Arkansas and both are alive and well here thankfully. We also have an abundance of lakes close by and national forest to hunt on. Hopefully it remains that way. Only time will tell though

1 for 1 in 2020. Only boat to get a limit. Was on some decent fish but the sky was high with absolutely ? zero wind. Made it a grind but picked up the faithful bitsy bug and put 5 in the boat.

I have to learn to adapt. Be able to change on the fly. Because sometimes what I'm doing is either a) not working or b) catching fish but not the ones I need. I need to learn to read my graphs a little better too.

Got out for about 4 1/2 hours today with a buddy. Caught a pretty good mixed bag. Largies, spots, whites and stripers. 16-18 total. Only double of the day. Did hook into a striper that felt like the Earth was shaking every time it shook its head but the hook pulled. Not a bad day after Christmas

I don't like dragging a big football jig out deep. I do love dragging a Carolina rig. Kinda strange being as they're very similar.
