Easy to use depthfinder ?
Like TD said "Time in the seat". I bought a sonar unit not too long ago and finally got the mechanics headed in the right direction. Always considered myself as "roadkill on the highway of technology" but if you don't learn everything about your unit, it's not worth the space it takes up (or whatever you end up spending ... skillet

Have just lately started visiting this board regularly, got me interested in doing repaints. Have done a lot of cabinet work and did my own finishes. Have 2 compressors, large 60gal (5hp) and small portable 2gal (1 1/2hp). Both have regulators and filters. Am not sure how far they will turn down. Spraying lacquer or contact cement takes more pressure than ya'll use. Newbie questions ? 1. Remove original finish (sand)? 2.Container or gravity type gun? 3.Apparently Smith is best paint? 4.Anything helpful I might read? 5.Am going to have to come up with something for turning while drying. Do I need heat to help with drying? THANKS for any help ... skillet

Strike King KVD Spinnerbaits
I got one in the "Sexy Shad" color. Haven't go a chance to give it a try yet. I don't use a trailer hook. I'm usually throwing spinners in stuff almost as bad as where I'll throw jigs ... skillet

Rod length?
Most all of my fishing has been done from the bank and REALLY overgrown banks at that. Like the other members said, shorter rods are a lot more forgiving in those situations. I'm fairly tall (6'4") with 6" arm reach (picture a 210lb spider monkey ;D) and still feel more comfortable with 6' to 6 1/2' rods. I use 5 1/2' for topwater. Having said all that, if you can dedicate 1 set-up to flippin' and pitchin', that would the only time I think a 7' or more would be that much better ... skillet

The Other Jig Bite
"Cameras and scales have bad karma, they tend to scare the better fish. Ask anyone, once you start weighing bass, nearly all your fish are smaller than the one's you are use to catching!" RW Whole lot of truth to that statement ... skillet

anyone using the zoom trick worms?
I've bought these at Bass Pro. They look like a finish nail only segmented. You can separate them at the segments for more or less weight. You push them into the tail of the worm ... skillet
