Sure was, but he doesn’t call it cheating. He said that he just forgot about the rule. That was in today’s video. Yesterday he said that he was unaware of the rule? Typical
  3. What Ken said. I’ve always kept a spray bottle with approximately 75% vinegar 25% water. Removes water stains easily and it’s very cost effective.
  4. That is a great looking rig! I had a Force 90 on my first bass boat. Mine was a great outboard. Ran like a top, never gave me any issues at all.
  5. When I modified my 16’ X 50” jon into a bass-jon, I went with 3/4” plywood covered with an eva material. Three years in and still doing great. No issues whatsoever.
  6. Me too, have my annual physical coming up soon. It’s been a few years since I got the ol one finger salute, but I get a PSA every year. Numbers are always good, knock on wood.
  7. Praying for your wife JB. Wish you were in Arkansas or close by. My wife is a nurse for an orthopedic surgeon. She could get to in.
  8. No pictures but while fishing in a rental jon boat, in the Indian River, FL had a manatee come up right beside the boat. This was in the early 90’s. I reached out and petted him or her. I know that’s a common site for you Floridians but for an East Tennessean that had never seen a manatee it was pretty neat
  9. I’ve owned both aluminum and fiberglass bass boats. Aluminum gets my vote.
  10. @Swamp Girl, Powell also made a pickup truck with that same feature. Tried to post a picture but I guess it was too large. It’s pretty sweet. I’ve got a 2018 Toyota Tacoma, absolutely great truck. I love the new technology in these new vehicles but I’d much rather have either my old ‘72 Ford F-100 with a 300 six cylinder or my ‘70 Chevy C-10 with a 250 six banger.
  11. Bazoo, I was “raised” in tournament fishing by some old school guys. Don’t fish tournaments anymore but still try to follow the rules. Yes, if you’re out of the running you should show deference to a competitor that has a chance to win if they ask, not demand. When you show respect on the water, if the roles are reversed hopefully that angler will do the same for you. It all comes down to respect from both parties.

@Glenn, My youngest son has been to the 9/11 memorial too. He said the same thing, life changing.

    Never, ever forget
  14. I don’t disagree with a sped limit@MN Fisher. It’s just a 150 won’t go as fast as a 250, 300, etc. Before retirement, we used to get calls complaining about people speeding on some road or highway section. As I’ve said numerous times to these callers, We’ll get to it as soon as we can, but we can’t be everywhere all the time. Same thing goes for wildlife/conservation officers, water patrol, etc.
  15. Thanks @Glenn, that’s some great news! As @FloridaFishinFool rightfully pointed out, other than mlf’s high school series total ban of FFS, its use use is still only restricted. Meaning no one has “turned back”. I’m not at all anti-FFS, actually think it’s some amazing technology. That said, it will never be on my boat. I have two Garmin units with gps on my boat. All I use them for is to see structure and for water temps. Way to old school for FFS. Heck, I don’t even know how to use the gps function! 😂 Do think that something needs to be done about the line of sight at the console. Also in favor of horsepower restrictions.
  16. They haven’t “turned back”. Both B.A.S.S. and mlf have restricted its use in one way or another in their top series only, to my understanding. The lower divisions still use FFS.
  17. I hate to sound like Blauket, but I’m in favor of going back to the old 150 H/P rule. Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki, et al will never let that happen but I’d be in favor of it. A lot of this stuff mentioned above sounds like a whole bunch of government overreach to me. This tragic accident was definitely due to the irresponsible actions of the guy in the bass boat. I wasn’t there, don’t know how foggy it was, but possibly mlf will share in the liability. Hopefully it will cause them to go under but that’s just me. I’m sure they’re insured pretty well.
  18. I only use Lucas products. They make reel oil and grease. Hopefully you have the schematics for your reels, just in case.
  19. From my understanding he’s making about $1 million less at UCLA.
  20. I agree @TnRiver46, he just wasn’t all that. I was extremely proud to be a VFL (Vol For Life for those of you that might not know) when coach told him to not let the door knob hit him on his way out.
  21. I enjoyed my Vols win over ETSU. I’m certain that ETSU is enjoying their $1 million + payday. Also really enjoying UCLA’s 0 and 2 start. I know I’m being petty, but Nico who?
  22. The newspaper in the little town that I live in has a free paper called the Shopper’s Guide. I put my kayak in it not really expecting much. It was gone the next day! Since then I’ve sold a boat, a trailer and gave away a piano from placing an ad in our Shopper’s Guide.
  23. Well said @Logan S!
