Not a band, more of a genre. My wife likes 80’s, early 90’s rap. Other than possibly Kid Rock I would rather listen to fingernails on a chalkboard. As for her dislikes, I really enjoy old blues music. She’s not a fan. Thankfully we both like country, blue grass, red dirt and classic rock so there’s always something to listen to.

Saw a video yesterday basically saying that all fishing tackle, rods and reels are in for significant price increases.

I’m a bank beating junk fisherman, rarely fishing deeper than 10’. Only use my electronics (no FFS 👎) for the water temp and to see the make up of the bottom. Electronics have definitely not changed how I fish, the lures I throw, etc.

As do Diawa, Shimano, KastKing, Academy Sports and anyone else that has ever manufactured, or had a rod and reel manufactured.

Same thing happened to me. I PM’d Glenn, respectfully asked my question and he gave me a great explanation of how things are handled.

Here in southeast Arkansas it’s been sunny, mid 90’s. The “feels like” has been around 103. It is hot, but then again it’s summer so it’s supposed to be hot.

As @Eric 26 alluded to, both the Zebco Bullet and Omega are excellnt spin cast reels. You gonna have to dig deep in your pockets for either one but they are both quality pieces.

As far as baitcasters go, the Johnny Morris Platinum rods and reels are all I use. They are excellent rods and reels and contrary to what’s been written they are fairly priced. Had the majority of mine since 2016 when I left BPS. If you can hold off, BPS runs them on sale quite often. If you can hold off until the Spring Fishing Classic next March they really drop the price. I use the BPS Patriot (they’ve been rebranded as Platinum’s now) spinning rods. I have Shimano spinning reels on them. I like Shimano spinning reels. Do have a CarbonLite Technique spinning rod with a Platinum spinning reel. Not had much of a chance to use it, but it seems really nice. Most of the BPS top level pros get a certain amount of rods and reels in their agreement. After that, the pro purchases any needed rod and/or reels at employee pricing. When I was in store level management at BPS, I’ve helped a ton of the BPS sponsored pro’s with their purchases. As far as other BPS product lines, you will be fine using anything from the CarbonLite series on up.

Jump on in, the water is fine! Retiring at 53 in 2013 is absolute best thing I ever did for myself. I used to “run” a shift at my home counties Sheriff’s department. Now I “run” the vacuum cleaner, the dishwasher, the clothes washer and dryer, etc and I couldn’t be happier. Excuse me while I go swap out the laundry………

Even though I no longer own a canoe or kayak, I’m all in favor of “paddle only” waters.

My only mistake, if that’s even the correct word for it, was thinking that I had to own every color of every soft plastic or lure. Clearly I never owned “every color” but you know what I’m saying. Found that I only needed two to three colors tops.

Can’t help where a guy works. People from all walks of life and many different occupations go off the deep end every day. Way back, when I fished in tournaments my main culling strategy was to hope and pray that I caught enough to worry about culling! Assuming that I had five in the box and caught number six, if it wasn’t obvious I’d use a balance beam.

I had similar issues with TW. Slow shipping and the fact that I had two separate cards, two separate occasions compromised was enough for me to refuse to do business with them. Bass Pro Shops, Omnia and Fish USA all have fast shipping, anything I ordered was in stock and are secure.
