BILL DANCE RECOVERING FROM HEART SURGERY
Speedy recovery Bill, get well soon! Guess I should have checked the date before replying. One day I'll learn.

NHRA Pro Drag Racing
We probably will, we're talking about it. I've gone to Bristol for NASCAR Cup and Xfinity races, they were great. NHRA travels to Thunder Valley next. I pretty much agree. Even though I held a NASCAR license for anything from late models down, I've gotten to the point that I no longer really enjoy Cup Series races. I'll usually watch the Daytona 500 and both Bristol races but that's about it. Now, if they bring back Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway and North Wilksboro like is rumored, I'll watch them too. All that said, I was talking about being a lifelong short track, late model, limited late model fan. But, you're so right, nothing like those 10,000 h/p top fuel cars! I really enjoyed the Pro Stocks and the Pro Mods too!

NHRA Pro Drag Racing
First, I am and will always be a stock car racing fan. During the 80's I built, owned and drove my own cars in middle TN, southern KY and a few times in AL. Had a blast, spent a ton of money, wouldn't trade it for anything. For the first time in my 62 years on God's great earth, I went to the NHRA Fall Nationals at the TX Motorplex in Ennis, TX over this past weekend. To say that I was amazed is an understatement. We had really good seats pit side. You can just stroll around, look at the cars while they're being worked on, talk to the crew and driver's. What got me was when the top fuel dragsters and funny cars took off the ground vibrated, you literally felt it in your chest and even with good ear protection it was crazy loud. Sorry for rambling, but TV doesn't do it justice. I highly recommend going if you're a car nut and have never been. We're going back next year!

2 New Smaller Bass Cat Boats
I saw the article on Bass Blaster on the new Bass Cat's. I liked them both. The 17' 7" Bob Cat looked really nice and rated for a 150. The tri-hull looked Sharp too. 16' 5", rated for a 115. The tri-hull had sea deck type flooring. Be interesting to know the cost.

Do you carry cash?
I always keep $200 to $300 tucked away in my wallet, just in case. Other than that, $20 to $40 in cash. I pretty much use my debit card.

Which boat in your opinion would you say is better.
Speaking only about fiberglass boats, I've had several tin rigs, I've owned Nitro, Stratus and ChampioN. I driven various friends Skeeter, Bullet, Norris Craft Ranger and Bass Cat numerous times. They all floated, everything worked, etc. My absolute favorite, my ChampioN and my buddies Bass Cat. The Bullet and Norris Craft would doggone fly down the lake but, to me, rode pretty rough.

Good friends
TnRiver 46, Congratulations on the nuptials and the sweet Lowrance! I spent three years in Escanaba, MI in the U.P., caught my first smallie there. I would love to go back for a week or so.

Double blade Buzz Baits.
I've got four double buzzers. They are called "Double Trouble" and were made by a mom and pop company in middle TN. They came in 1/2 and 3/8 ounce. Mine are the 3/8 oz. I've had them since the mid 80's so they probably don't exist anymore. I use them anywhere I would use a single buzzer. To me, the beauty of a double buzzer is you can fish them much slower than a single. Sometimes that's a benefit, sometimes it's not. I love to fish them slow around wood or rock, hitting the cover. As far as casting, never been an issue for me. I've never tried the Strike King, or any other brand.

I feel so un-smart when I speak with an electrician.
My dad was an electrician that went to school to become an electrical engineer. If it was powered by electricity, he knew it all from theory to application to installation. I'm a reasonably smart guy and he taught me the basics, but mostly I stood on awe.

What Do You Do With Lures You Never Use?
I've been thinking about getting in touch with my local high school's fishing team coach. Thought I'd see if there is a kid/ kids that are underprivileged and could use some help. If so, I'll make some kid a big donation.

Life time membership???
Depending on your age, I think that it's well worth it. Now that I'm in my 60's it's probably not worth it to me. I wish that I had purchased a lifetime membership in my mid 20's when I got serious about bass fishing.

Alabama
Well, my Vols are no longer unbeaten, we're 1 and 1. Fun while it lasted though. All things considered, it wasn't a horrible loss, we stayed in the game fairly well.

Carolina Rig Retrieve...thoughts
I'm a little late to this one, but like other's I drag my C-rigs using a sweeping motion. I used to pull up on the rod tip, but for me I have more feel sweeping the rod tip. I usually fish the rig pretty slowly but as always, let the bass tell you how they want the bait.

9-11-2001 - Where were you?
9/11 was before I retired from the State of TN. I was on duty, driving down the turnpike in Oak Ridge, TN. I will never get 9/11 out of my mind. I'll never forget and I'll doggone sure never forgive. 09/13/21 Edit, I guess I was being too macho to type this yesterday, I'm not sure why? I pulled over and cried. Not from fear. I guess I cried for all of the suffering. Those poor people in the planes, the Twin Towers, the heroic Firefighter's and Police Officer's that passed away trying to help others. I felt that day that nothing would ever be the same. I don't mind admitting that I have shed tears on every 09/11 since. There, I've said it.

Spinning reel maintenance
I've used Abu Garcia oil, Quantum and Bass Pro Shops reel oil and lube in the past with excellent results from each. Two years ago I found Lucas reel oil and lube. As I use Lucas products in my car, truck, boat and guns, I gave it a shot. I'm really impressed so far. I service all of my reels myself, but if a real issue ever came up I'd send it out for service.

2022 Bass Pro Tour Schedule
I don't disagree at all and don't support mlf. I much prefer the B.A.S.S. Elite trail. That said, I do somewhat know a couple of bpt pro's. I wouldn't call us besties or anything but I would like to say hi. When they go to Bussey Brake, I may drive over.

I understand completely. Thanks for the well wishes. I wish you guys a great season..... until we play ?

Alabama
I'm a Tennessee Vols fan through and through. My blood runs orange. That said, Bama is really good year in, year out. You can't argue with history. As of right now, my Vols are unbeaten this season! I know, I know it probably won't last, but I'm having a moment!

4 vs 5 inch senko
Maybe it's just a confidence thing, but I seem to do much better using a 4" green pumpkin senko. For me, during the spawn I like white. Other than that, it's green pumpkin the majority of the time, black occasionally.

2022 Bass Pro Tour Schedule
Does anyone that follows mlf/bpt know how they fish three different lakes during one tournament? Do they spend a couple of days at each lake?
-
2022 Bass Pro Tour Schedule
I live about 15 miles from Bussey Brake. To bad mlf/bpt doesn't have a weigh in, I might go. As there's nothing to see, I'm nowhere near as excited as I would be if it was a B.A.S.S. Elite tournament.

How Long Is Your Average Fishing Outing ??....
I used to go sun up to sundown. Now I try to go four to five hours maybe more if I'm hammering them. I still put in around sun up for what it's worth.
