  1. You and your shimanos :
  2. I fished jigs with a TD-S 7' MH Jig/Worm specific rod. It runs around $104. The quality is good and the two I own have helped me land a lot of good fish and have survived those darn logs.
  3. Very straight, mid-length, different shades of brown depending on how mugh fishing Ive been doing. Funny you should ask, I just got it cut abot an hour ago.
  4. Im going to try a 6'6" M with a mfast tip for the same stuff this year and it seems like it will work well, but Ive not tried it yet.
  5. I used to use 12# and liked it just fine until I was yoyo-ing my jig over an underwater branch and a huge bass wrapped me up and broke me off. I only bumped it up to 15# and it made a huge difference.
  6. I use flouro with my jigs, braid for spinners and buzzbaits, and mono for cranks and topwaters.
  7. Nice fish! The two biggest bass I got last year bit a Pure Poison. The first hit out of a brush pile in 8-12 feet with a medium retrieve and the second hit when I casted about 50 feet from a point. My avg sized ones came out of brush in 6'15 feet when the water was around 50*. Hope that helps.
  8. I use a very inexpensive saltwater Jarvis Walker spinning combo with 14# braid connected to a 10# flouro leader by a swivel. I think the rod is 6'6" M.
  9. Wasnt a fancy Daiwa by any chance was it?
  10. Id say: Gerald Swindle KVD Ike Rick Clunn Skeet Reese
  11. Dang Thats big and looks cool. Congrats.
  12. Sweet fish . Ill try that line RW, if I can find it.
  13. I used one during november and caught a ton of 4-7 lbers and it handled them well. I use mine for jigs with 15# flouro on a 7' mh rod.
  14. Thanks Ill probably either use my Zillion or my pfluger echolon. Im not sure which would be better for sb or spinners but Ill do some experimenting soon.
  15. Would I be alright throwing swimbaits under 2 oz with a LP baitcaster? I despise round BCs for various reasons :
  16. Ill do a report once I get out. There are some ponds that I found out about recently that if they dont have fish I can at least try my new stuff.
  17. I find a place that has numbers of decent fish and hit with your big fish lures. Jigs, Chatterbait styled baits, and swimbaits all work for me. Last year I decided to fish for bigger fish and did that to catch 7 trophys with many under 22 inches when I hadnt caught any that big previously.
  18. I picked one up the other day and was wondering if anyone had some tips for it: line size, retrieve speed, etc. And what do you all pay for yours?
  19. Thanks. Ill get to try them once my reels are done getting worked on.
  20. Ive been playing for about 3 years and I would suggest getting lessons. They help a lot. As far as playing tips make sure you use your pinky. Sounds wierd but thats what everyone tells me to do.
  21. I got the 7' MH from Delos then bought a 6"6' today. They are SWEEET! Yo Burley... The bass shop is getting 32 carrot stix in this week.
  22. Thats pretty killer! Ive always wanted to try spiral wrapped but Ive been too engrosed in financing Diawas
  23. Does anyone else sand down their handles or anything with their cork grip rods? I do it to my TD-S's to make them feel more like my L/T.
  24. Hey Avid have you tried the Viento?
