Diawa brakes: A mag-z brake is more of a all around brake. The mag-v is a finesse, flipping pitching brake. The magbreak is closer to the mag-z. What are some other alternatives to the Mag-V style thats in the Sol, Super tuned thing, and the 103 steez. Im looking for something less than $200. Thanks

I decided not to get it yet for two reasons:1 Im going to save up for a new Jiggin rod for my Viento so I can give my grandpa my old setup. 2 I dont need a deep cranking combo until summer. Im going to give my grandpa my Megaforce/TD-S jig/worm rod combo which will be both his first b/c and Diawa combo. So, no Shimano yet, eat it shirley

There 's something unholy about sitting a Shimano reel on a Daiwa rod. :-? The opposite is also true. The diawa rod is my only deep cranking rod so the 5.?:1 should be good. I thought about getting a Tierra but I need the gear ratio.

Ive got a Fenwick HM 6'6" 1/4-3/4 and it feels good. I also have a 7'0" Diawa S 1/4-1 thats good too. They are about $80-$104 in th order listed.

I couldnt resist getting a Citica for $90.00 so Ive got plans to order one tomorrow. This will be the first Shimano to join my Diawa army but Im putting it on a Diawa rod to lessen the blow.

I went to the Lunker Lodge in Bainbridge, GA twice to fish Seminole. I loved it. It was by far my favorite vacation. Ive also been to Buffalo, NY to see a concert but wound up fish Erie for half a day. It was great but our guide kept trying to get more money than e originally asked.

Wow, the lakes about as low as Ive ever seen it. I like that Diawa spinner .
