  1. I use NetBait Paca Craws, Paca Craw Jr. or some GYCB craws on a jig when I want a bulky bait. Otherwise, it's ZOOM Super Chunks/Jr. Chunks or NetBait Paca Chunks. Brad
  2. These are great frogs. I have one tied on as soon as the grass and pads start ot get on the surface and will fish them until late fall as long as there are shallow fish. The above post had lots of good info. I'll add that, IMO, a long, stout flipping stick and a superline are a must for frogging. It allows for a good hooket and the superline, being that it will cut veggies with ease, helps get the fish out of the cover. Also, try the smaller Bronzeye Jr. It is a good bait as well and sometimes helps on those days when the bass miss your bigger frogs. Brad
  3. Great post! I've been using the Spot Remover and Screwed-Up jigheads with pretty good results. Brad
  4. No problem RW, I can help you8 catch up on your bait collection with a custom placd order with LC. I love the Pointers as well as the Husky Jerks and some old Bombers that are discontinued. Brad
  5. You? An oddball? Nooooooo...... ;D Man, doesn't it suck when one rod tangles up everything? I remember having one crankbait tangle up 4 rods and get caught in the carpet at the same time. Brad
  6. Yes, there is. www.bigbitebaits.com
  7. I like the Boogie bait over the Chatterbait. First, the blade connection is better IMO. Most of the Chatterbaits I owned had cracked hookeyes that broke. I do not know if they have fixed this problem. Second, the long hook on the Boogie bait helps with short strikes. I also like the Venom and Gambler versions of this bait. There are some other companies coming out with similar baits in 2007 as well. Good luck! Brad
  8. I'll second the Lure Tamers. I got some samples earlier this year to try out and I also had one of my biggest tournament customers try some as well. They are excellent products. Luretamers combined with Stickjackets have ended any and all rod tangling problems in my rod locker. I also no longer worry about getting hooked in the hand when getting rods out of the rod locker thanks to these lure covers, been there done the nasty cuts and tears - OUCH! I even use them on my jigs. They take little time to use and they help quite a bit. I'll be adding them to my inventory soon. Brad
  9. I use the 2/0 and Orings for wacky rigging 5" Senkos and the 1/0 and Oring for 4" Senkos. Brad
  10. The only bait I have seen ZOOM sell in bulk 100 bags was their 6" lizards, but that was a while ago. Call ZOOM direct and see what dealers may still sell in bulk. Brad
  11. I use the Flat CB MR, DR and 12 quite a lot. I have caught quite a few fish on them. The main colors I use in most LC baits are Ghost Minnow, Chartreuse Shad, MS American Shad, Rootbeer, Aurora Black, Ghost Sunfish and Peacock. These usually get the job done anywhere I fish. Brad
  12. I will usually match trailers to the jig in clear water. Usually a greenish jig and greenish trailer, black with black or brown with brown. I might add some flake such as a green pumpkin jig with a green pumpkin/red flake trailer. In stained or mudy water, I will make the trailer different than the main skirt. Just change it up and see what the fish say. Brad
  13. 3X plastic is either a love or hate bait. Personally, I do not like them. I have used them in many applications and they produced no better than other baits. They do last a long time, which is plus, but I had too many other problems with them. IMO, these plastics will be better perfected in the future and will be much more popular. My kids have a ton of the stretchy hands. They stick to about anything. Brad
  14. Man, I got too many worms I like to fish. I like the ZOOM Trick and Finesse worms as well as the NetBait Finesse worms on Texas rigs, Carolina rigs and on jigheads like the Screwed Up jighead or the Spot remover jighead. For straight up Texas rigging in cover, I like the new ZOOM GTail and old Ditto Gator Tail. Of course, I love Senkos. And I have a ton of craw and creature baits too numerous to mention. Brad
  15. Stretch Grubs are just one of GYCB's many models of grubs. As or Sliders, I use them in swimming situations around docks, weeds, standing wood, rocks banks, open water, etc. I fish "shakey style" heads on the bottom. Brad
  16. Depends on the fishing I will be doing. What are you wanting? A crankbait, topwater, jerkbait, lipless bait? Brad
  17. For larger deep divers or for shallow cranking in heavy cover, I like a MH. For smaller baits and open water, I like M and even ML for some baits. Brad
  18. No glass for me. No need for it IMO. There are too many good graphite blanks designed for cranking, etc. Brad
  19. Cast right, crank left, repeat. That's me. Brad
  20. You call that tackle.. Good lookin' boxes dude! Brad
  21. For close quarter casting or around docks with 1/4 to 1/2 oz. baits: Esox 5'6" CE Pistol Grip, Shimano Citica201D For most spinnerbaiting with 1/4 to 1/2 oz. baits: Esox 7' BY, Shimano Citica201D For small spinnerbaits under 1/4 oz.: Esox 6'6" or 7' BH, Shimano Citica201D 15 lb. test line. Brad

G-Splash and Sammy in MS American Shad. Two awesome baits. Brad
  23. The "chatterbait" style jigs are great baits. They are quite versatile. I have caught fish on steady retrieves, slow rolling, pumping them up and down, on the fall as a drop bait and buring them just under the surface. I'm not a big fan of the original Chatterbait, but I really like the Gambler Swim Blade and the Booyah Boogee baits. Brad
  24. I use 4" flipping tubes quite a bit. I fish them on 4/0 EWG hooks and unpegged weights. The hook is oushed throuh both walls of the tube and left to lie along the tube or just BARELY skinhooked. These are great baits! Good luck! Brad
  25. BPS' in store sales on LC's is a steal. It's a "loss leader" for them and gets you in their store. If you're lucky to find that sale when it happens, take advantage of it. Brad
