  1. Lots of places carry original Hybrid, including some Wal-Mart stores. In addition to Cabela's, several online stores carry Ultra Soft. Here's one: http://www.fish307.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=108 8-)
  2. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  3. You might want to try the 3/4 oz Ledgebuster Single Willow Blade Spinnerbait. It's most effective for deep jigging on a slow drift or stationary casting over structure. The key is the drop on slack line. You won't win any tournaments with this lure, but you might win the Big Fish category! 8-)
  4. Welcome aboard! BTW, That was my first boat and I bought it from a friend, the original owner. He's not a friend of mine anymore. 8-)
  5. T-1 Series Titanium Terminator http://www.terminatorlures.com/spinnerbaits/t-1_series/ 8-)
  6. If your local BPS doesn't carry these spools, they can still order them without any shipping cost to you: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/SearchResults?searchOption=products&hvarSearchString=yo-zuri+hybrid&storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&CMID=TOP_SEARCH_GO&x=11&y=16 #6 original Hybrid will work fine, but BPS doe not carry Ultra Soft. Cabela's is where I get mine: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0030185119278a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH_all&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&Ntk=Products&QueryText=yo-zuri+hybrid+ultra+soft&sort=all&Go.y=6&_D%3AhasJS=+&N=0&Nty=1&hasJS=true&Go.x=20&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsearch%2Fsearch-box.jsp.form23&_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1 Note: I treat all my line with KVD Line & Lure Conditioner, it really makes a difference! 8-)

    Welcome aboard! 8-)
  8. The lake is 184 miles long, with shoreline on both sides!
  9. Go play with your toys, you'll feel better! Alka-Seltzer Plus will help, too. Hope it doesn't last long.
  10. Nice fish! 8-)
  11. Well, I don't know. As a long-time GYCB fan, Rage Tail plastic seems pretty robust to me!
  12. The media hasn't paid much attention to what is happening with our southern neighbor. Collapse and/or revolution is knocking at the door. Personal safety could quickly become a very serious issue.
  13. This might help: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1141187546 8-)
  14. I would say it varies mostly based upon availability of food. Those first fish that were stocked do not have any competition from bass larger than them so they grow fast. Nope, it's all about metabolism = water temperatures. When you add stocker trout to the equation, you grow monsters! 8-)
  15. Well, this is what I've read regarding smallmouth: In northern waters, a 5 lb bronzeback will be 10-15 years old and can live to be around 18. In southern waters, smallmouth can reach 5 lbs in 4-6 years, but only live to be 9 or 10. Southern brown fish remain active all year, but they can be very hard to come by in the summer. 8-)
  16. I have fished several of the Rage Tail baits and you will not be disappointed. The Shad may make you give up your buzzbaits, but they really shine in thick cover. The 10" Ananconda has been a big bass lure for me. The Craws and Chunks are durable and have great action. I haven't fished the Toad yet, but I will! 8-)
  17. No. Hybrid is less visible, in smaller diameters almost invisible. The line is significantly stronger than mono for a given diameter: #12 Hybrid is .013" in diameter, the same as Ande and many other 12 lb test lines. However, the breaking point is 19.5 pounds. http://www.yo-zuri.com/Products/ProdLine/HybridLineChart.htm 8-)
  18. My daughter "discovered" them last year. It's amazing what a difference they make. I HIGHLY recommend picking some up! 8-)
  19. ** MODERATOR NOTE ** #1 Posts are often moved...because we feel they belong somewhere else. It's not personal. #2 This thread has been edited and a couple of posts deleted. Being nasty is not what BassResource. com is about. If anyone doesn't care about catching crappie, koi, carp or gar...move on to another topic. We certainly don't need smart arse comments or anything from guys that don't care. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  20. P-Line Floroclear is coated. Yo-Zuri Hybrid and Hybrid Ultra Soft are bonded, not coated: http://www.yo-zuri.com/Products/ProdLine/Hybrid.htm 8-)
  21. Hmm... Spinning tackle: #6 Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft Baitcasting gear: #12 Hybrid or Hybrid Ultra Soft I never get confused.
  22. WELCOME ABOARD! 8-)
  23. Hmm... I must have a "bad run", too. :
