  1. I have a box for the soft plastics I might use on an outing or two, out of the bags in separate compartments. "Reserves" are kept in their original bags. 8-)
  2. Rapala Clackin' Rap (4) Swarming Hornets 1/4 lb Yo-Zuri Hybrid #12 Red Head fishing slacks 8-)
  3. Everyone I know uses them as trailers, it's one of my favorites! 8-)
  4. "Monopoly money" should be put in the devastated financial sector where you could easily double or quadruple your money in a day, a week or a month. You might as well swing for the fence, there's no downside. "Real money" should remain on the sidelines. 8-)
  5. Dirty Harry "I know what you're thinking. Did he fire six shots or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?" Terminator II "I need a vacation." 8-)

  8. You are correct, I bought mine used from Redlinerobert and serviced by The Reel Mechanic. The finish has a few nicks and scratches, but in my opinion, they add "character" to the reel. I would rate my reel an 8/10 aesthetically, 10/10 mechanically. -Kent
  9. I like everything about the reel! However, if I were in the market for a new reel, I would buy the CH50MG on sale right now. That is the best deal going. http://www.***.com/descpageRLCSHIMANO-SHCSF50.html 8-)
  10. The Lake Fork "Live" Magic Shad is gray/silver with a black top. The color combination looks very much like a common baitfish, but more importantly, the tail provides a subtle wiggle as the lure falls. Maybe other trailers would work just fine, but since this was recommended and is inexpensive, I'll stick with it for now. 8-)

  12. Well, I have used this analogy before, but nothing has changed: Tiger Woods would beat every golfer in the world, other than those on tour, using nothing but a putter or 7 iron. That doesn't make it the best choice for anyone else. Although I agree with J Francho's choice for one rod fishing, using technique specific equipment is simply more fun for me. I think three rigs is the "magic number", but I have a few more... : http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1196114229
  13. After opening below 7000, the DJIA has now dropped below major support levels. 6000 has become a very real possibility. All sectors are under pressure and the outlook is bleak. A near-term turnaround or bottom is unlikely. All indicators and news releases are much worse than anticipated. AIG reported the largest loss for any U.S business in history this morning.
  14. Nice fish. 2 - 3 lbs 8-)

  16. Wow! That's a beautiful collection. 8-)
  17. Yo-Zuri Hybrid #15 is 21.5 lb test. When treated with KVD Line & Lure Conditioner, it is reasonably manageable on a baitcaster. The line diameter is .016". This line is as strong as you need for virtually any freshwater fishing. 8-)
  18. The Fat Ika has been a top producer for several years. I am surprised Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops aren't carrying them any longer. Perhaps that is an advantage for the rest of us! 8-)
  19. Your dad had great luck with the Rapala. I would stick with that. Good luck! 8-)
