  1. The tail waters of Pickwick or technically, Kentucky Lake (85 miles long, 160,300 acres). We simply call the stretch we fish, The Tennessee River. This year's Roadtrip is on the same water, just further downstream (north) from where I fish. http://www.tva.com/river/index.htm 8-)
  2. Mattlures Baby Bass and Mattlures Shad. 8-)
  3. This might help: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1196114229 It sounds like you need a rod dedicated to treble hook lures, moderate action or fast with a soft tip. 8-)
  4. We have had a lot of rain here in the Mid South, too. As a result, TVA is moving massive amounts of water and all the flood gates are wide open, 205,000 CFS! At the Pickwick Dam that equates to about 1.5 million gallons per second, 24/7. There is no fishing this weekend. The forcast calls for rain today, all day and it just started a few minutes ago. 8-)
  5. No, none at all. When oil prices are rising, retail stations justify immediate mark-ups for "replacement cost". When they are falling the excuse for lagging is the cost already incurred. Either way, the consumer gets screwed!
  6. No. I have never heard or read a thing about a problem with the bail.
  7. Welcome! You belong on our team anyhow. 8-)
  8. Baby alligators, egrets, snakes and 2 lb mosquitoes. 8-)
  9. Check your link. The one you posted has nothing to do with the topic of this thread.
  10. No, but we have a "Shimano Posse" and some call me the Sheriff. http://unattributed.net/html/whiskey.html 8-)
  11. You made it sound like a common occurrence, not an isolated incident. I don't recall ever hearing a complaint about the new FI, here or anywhere else. However, with our new friend, Bantam1, on site, I think you can be sure, any issue will be addressed and solved.
  12. When I checked, there was nothing there. -Kent
  13. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  14. Contact Bantam1 in our Shimano section. I am 100% sure he will resolve this for you. Your next replacement will be perfect in every way.
  15. Odd isn't it? I'm on this Forum all day, every day during the week, sometimes at night and occasionally on weekends. I visit two other fishing forums from time to time. Yet, today on this thread, is the first time I have ever heard of "widespread" problems with the Stradic. Something smells a little fishy to me. Where did you guys hear this story? >
  16. [movedhere] Fishing Tackle [move by] roadwarrior.
  17. Thanks for supplying the link! I was a little wary of posting it because I had a post removed because I gave the name of the other website. Didn't think to use their link! That can be confusing, it's a gray area. Certain sites are approved, some are not and screened by our system, others are not allowed, but not screened. Get it? No... Generally, other fishing forums are not allowed. Advertising, self promotion or affiliation is not allowed. Any time a member attempts to subvert the system screens, the post is edited or deleted. An example would be BassResource(dot)com. Additional restrictions are on a case-by-case basis. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  18. No doubt, and no offense intended. 8-)
  19. We all "qualify" the World Record when IGFA certification is the overriding determinant. Fine, I'm not necessarily taking a different stand, but this is the "Biggest Bass" that has ever been caught: http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports/outdoors/20060320-1251-bn20bass.html 8-)
  20. Update: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,478385,00.html
  21. Hey Muddy! No comment?
  22. The fellow posted asking for advice... We have members that fish Quantum. The company's reputation over the years has been tarnished by inferior products: design, components, craftsmanship and quality control. However, some say that in the last few years the brand has improved dramatically. Daiwa has a reputation for precision engineering and consistently delivering a high quality product. I fish Shimano. 8-)
  23. Enough of this BS...This thread and the other is closed. When you come up with a picture, make a new entry, but otherwise: DO NOT REPOST ANOTHER THREAD REGARDING THIS RIDICULOUS STORY. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
