  1. Your jig/ soft plastics rod should be your most sensitive equipment. There are a number of mid-range rods that are quite nice, but if you have the dough, step up! 8-)
  2. G. Loomis GLX or MBR 844C for what you think you need. However, I fish all soft plastics, including 6" Senkos, on spinning tackle. Specifically, St. Croix ES70MF/ Shimano Stella 2500FB and Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #6. 8-)
  3. Man, you got it goin' on! Nice fish, great pics! 8-)
  4. I would recommend 6 1/2 or 7' Medium Power/ Fast Action spinning tackle. For the applications you mentioned, I fish a St. Croix ES70MF/ Stella 2500FB and Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #6. My favorite smallmouth rig for other applications is a G.Loomis GLX PR844S/ Stella 2500FB and Ultra Soft #4. For hard baits, particularly for jerkbaits and topwater, St. Croix Avid AC66MF with a soft tip. Mine is matched with a Shimano Metanium/ Ultra Soft #12. 8-)
  5. No, never. I don't fish for little bass. I would rather score zero than catch "tournament bass". My motto is "Go big or go home". 8-)

Welcome back to the hood! Maybe I should send you some GYCB soft plastics as a homecoming gift. 8-)
  7. The_Natural, Man, you're the last guy on the planet that I would have guessed would be fishing Sensation. I hope the new line works out for you. 8-)

  12. You could get all twenty or you could just get green. :
  13. Man, that's one heck of a day! 8-)
  14. Imagine Rick Clunn being in that "zone" on every outing throughout his career. I have been there a couple of times, but it doesn't seem real and I remember those times as more of a dream than reality. Several years ago, on a pond I still fish regularly, I caught nine bass on ten casts and 12 bass on twenty in the morning twighlight. Over more than seven years of fishing the same water, nothing comparable has ever happened.

  17. We're not going there. In the top section of the "Tackle" section is a link to the "Senko Library", everything you want to know and literally hundreds or posts, discussions and arguments. 8-)
  18. I suspect the shallow water is the problem. Try to find an area with transition or a drop-off, point or hole. Structure is the key. 8-)
  19. Huh? You didn't miss anything and the thread has been edited. We don't need to change the generally upbeat tone into something else.
  20. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  21. Welcome aboard! And Good Luck! I hope you have fun and do well. 8-)
  22. To The Reel Mechanic, Thank you! I hope everyone new to baicasting equipment sees this thread. 8-)
  23. Well, I wonder if St. Croix will replace my older Legend Elites with new ones if I have an "accident" and send them in? Just kidding. Those are sweeeeeeeeeet! 8-)
