  1. The thing about Bill Dance is that in real life he is the same as his television persona.
  2. Entirely different eras. Clunn and Nixon were for the most part (pre-electronics).
  3. I hope you have enough bread and milk to make it through.
  4. CONGRATULATIONS Chiefs Fans! What an exciting game. I hope Patrick is back next week.
  5. I think pairing up with you at Guntersville was just as much fun!
  6. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewshimconquest101.html The 100 is the same, but has the handle on the "correct" side.
  7. My observation has been that bass do not do well in an aquarium.
  8. Yeah, one and done for me. I fish a couple of charity tournaments every year, but these are team events with a chosen friend as a partner. It's just fun fishing for us, we don't do anything different. At my last event my buddy hooked up with a monster right off the bat. I could tell it was a striper and told him to cut the line. Right... Thirty wasted minutes later he landed a 30 pounder on spinning tackle and #6 line.
  9. My guide, hotdawg, caught his PB (6 1/2 lbs) on a trip with me to Pickwick. At Bull Shoals we catch big numbers with an average weight of 3-4 lbs and an occasional 5. 25+ smallmouth (a piece) over a six hour period ain't that bad!
  10. Well, although the initial cost is high, I have some of the 110s that are more than a decade old. I have never broken one or lost one. These jerkbaits have been great producers and worth the investment.
  11. "Tomorrow" is my favorite day, especially for honey-do's.
  12. Two suggestions: PopMax and Vision 110
  13. This goes for most presentations. MHF has multiple applications, but there are technique specific rods that you might like better. A prime example is deep diving crankbaits. For occasional use you jig rod is just fine, but there are MUCH better alternatives.
  14. I fish local ponds almost everyday if the weather cooperates. I'm always up for something new, then back to catching fish! For 2021 my goal to to make spinnerbaits a go-to for me. The only "new to me" recently is the Berkley Maxscent Flat Worm rigged on a drop shot.
  15. Very compelling argument. I stand corrected.

  17. Well, I don't have the DC, but the Conquest 100 might be my favorite reel!
  18. No, I just have the rod that fits his request. I use the rod for crappie and trout, never for the monsters that roam Texas lakes! I'm not taking it to Florida next week either.
  19. My brother had the procedure last spring and is doing very well. I wish you the best, you will feel like a new man. Our thoughts are with you, please keep us posted. -Kent
