My favorite crappie fishing is someone else catching, cleaning and frying them. Fishing for these fish, even Southern Slabs, is just not my thing. But I do love eating them!

Switching hands is a non-issue. I fish spinning tackle with a left hand retrieve, baitcasting right hand.

Hmm... I often fish a jig even when I know something else would be a better choice. Moving lures are always a part of my program, but I struggle not fishing a Senko or Fat Ika in shallow water, just can't get them off my mind. Currently my top producing baits are the GYCB Kreature, Rage Menace and Siebert Oudoors swim jig/ Rage Tail Structure Bug.

If you go again, you might try to allocate one full day to fishing. I spent some time with ghoti and his family early this year. He and I fished ToHo where I caught my Personal Best 1/05/2020.

I fish them at Pickwick, Kentucky Lake and other TVA reservoirs. Clear water is NOT a requirement.

Yeah, I know... There are some things I really like, but can't quite imagine what the first guy was thinking. Oysters would be at the top of the list, jalapeno peppers right up there and then maybe crawdads. I have actually eaten octopus on a sushi plate. It was just okay, chewy as I recall.
