  1. Nashoba Park and Grove Park in Germantown.
  2. I spent two years learning to fish a jig, but now it is my favorite presentation.
  3. Spinning reels, NO. This is my favorite brand, but for spinning tackle you need #6. #10 is for lighter finesse fishing on a baitcaster. An example is the Rage Tail Menace.
  4. Just stay a bit further off the bank, you will be fine.
  5. Upgrade to the Avid AVC 7" MF. I think you will like M better than MH as an all-around rod. St. Croix Medium is equivalent to most other brands Medium Heavy.
  6. You will be fine. I find fluorocarbon to be significantly more sensitive than monofilament. I use mono for treble hooks and fluoro for single hooks.
  7. I don't know... Seems like the general theory is to catch a limit and then upgrade. I have never understood why you would target fish you plan to release in a tournament. I always go big, but still catch plenty of little ones. Makes no sense to me.
  8. Hmm... BassResource.com has articles on just about everything "fishing". https://www.bassresource.com/content/search?SearchText=fishing+docks&BrowsePageLimit=30
  9. Currently: TN, MS, AR, MO and AL. Additionally over the past two years, TX, LA and KY. Never had an issue.
  10. I understand your point for those that trade rods, but I would never sell one of mine.
  11. These articles will keep you busy: https://www.bassresource.com/content/search?SearchText=spinnerbaits&BrowsePageLimit=30
  12. I think that goes for a lot of us that are approaching or in retirement. My daughter and grand babies are in Texas and we will be headed that way in a couple of years. Anyone know if there are any good lakes to fish down there?
  13. Welcome aboard!
  14. This is the order of my priorities: 1. Depth 2. Cover/ Structure 3. Lure class: Soft plastics (bottom) or hard baits (moving) 4. Specific lures and colors
  15. Innovation to solve an ongoing issue. Great idea!
  16. I was surprised Gary did not mention the Kut-Tail. I thought that was the most popular GYCB product in Japan. No mention of the Fat Ika either.
  17. Consider a custom rod from DVT http://www.delawarevalleytackle.com/ Production rod: G.Loomis PR844S http://www.gloomis.com/content/gloomis/northamerica/usconv/en/homepage/PDP.P-POPPING_ROD_SERIES.html
  18. D Shad and YUM Houdini Shad
  19. Striper like them, too.
  20. Alabama Rig
