  1. If it ain't perfect, it ain't good enough!
  2. No, I have not. This is what I have been using for stripes more recently, especially with The Rig: https://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/DHC7-761-CAHFS-primmus-review.html
  3. Big worms are working on the Tennessee River. http://www.ragetail.com/news/color-charts/rage-thumper-color-selection/

  5. G. Loomis IMX 844C/ Shimano CTE200GT Guys sell these when they upgrade to a GLX or NRX. You might find a 10 year old rod in mint condition for $150-$200. The reel shoulld run $175-$200 in excellent condition (10/10 mechanically, 8/10 cosmetically). I have caught bull reds (30+ lbs) and thousands of pounds of stripers (PB 38lbs). For more than 20 years this and the GLX version have been my go-to jig and weighted soft plastics rod.
  6. CONGRATULATIONS!
  7. I'm fishing a 6'8" Medium Power/ Fast Action rod with a soft tip. The reel is an Aldebaran spooled with #12 Sunline Shooter Defier Armilo.
  8. The biggest bass that I know of being caught in a tournament was caught just outside of Second Creek, where you are putting in! Down river fish the ledges at the mouth of Bear Creek, then the secondary points. Next, Indian Creek, but just the mouth this time of year and then the left bank moving down stream. The best bet is 15'-25' of water right now. Big worms have been the ticket for me (Rage Tail Thumper, blue fleck). Good luck!
  9. Every rigging technique will work just fine, you just need more weight. This time of year I am fishing a 10" Rage Tail Thumper using a 1/2 oz bullet in VERY heavy current on the Tennessee River without any issues.
  10. I only have four: Rage Tail Baby Craw, Craw, DB Craw and Lobster.

  14. If you take into account that this is a 300 yard spool, it might meet your criteria: https://www.walmart.com/ip/KastKing-Mega8-Super-Performance-8-Strand-Braid-Fishing-Line-300Yds-275M/133974896?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=3031&adid=22222222227053605326&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=154934029881&wl4=pla-264990811089&wl5=9013543&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=113500056&wl11=online&wl12=133974896&wl13=&veh=sem
