  1. We have several members that swear by Red Label, but I only use this line for leader. For spinning tackle Inviz is more manageable and I REALLY like AbrazX for baitcasting.
  2. Leaving for Texas in a couple of hours. Woo-Hoo!
  3. I have one Immortal and three Eternity. I intend to replace all of my other rods over time.
  4. Hmm... I see a custom build in your future!
  5. Nah... Most guys like Yo-Zuri, but some don't. The line has not changed. If you did not like it then, you won't like it now.
  6. Sinning gear is usually preferred for lighter presentations.
  7. Very popular for saltwater fishing, too.
  8. #12 has a breaking strength of 19.5 lbs and can be use as an "all-around" line for baitcasters. The line floats as a result of surface tension, not like a bobber. This has NO impact on any presentation, topwater is fine. I HIGHLY recommend treating the Hybrid with KVD Line & Lure Conditioner.
  9. Retrieve effectiveness varies, but I find this to be generally proficient: Cast and let the jig fall on slack line. Let it sit for a moment on the bottom then pop it once and slow retrieve just off the bottom. The perfect scenario is ticking rocks or vegetation during the retrieve. I like the Menace as a trailer, but I also use the Structure Bug and Shellcracker,

  11. Leaving the house on Tuesday, fishing Wednesday through Sunday. Anything new to report?
  12. Denver needs a quarterback and a running game to be competitive. I hope Romo is NOT their choice.
  13. We are going to close this thread and start a new one for 2018. -Kent
  14. I suggest buying "the right" rod and using whatever spinning reel you currently have, then perhaps upgrading the reel at a later date. I own the GLX version, but I think you will find this rod to be EXACTLY what you are looking for: http://www.americanlegacyfishing.com/g-loomis-popping-fishing-rod-pr844s-imx.html
  15. Nice fish, great pic!

  17. Just starting fishing the Rippin' in #10 & #12. So far, so good!
