  1. St. Croix Avid AVC66MF which has a soft tip.
  2. Another strategy is fishing the channel break as defined by the buoys.
  3. You may like longer rods. The MBR844C is one of my favorites.
  4. Pass the quacamole please http://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/perfect_guacamole/ OP asked about fluorocarbon and the answer is braid?
  5. Broke the drought this morning at Grove with a Seibert jig (PBJ)/ GYCB Flappin' Hog.
  6. Sworming Hornet/ LFT Live Magic Shad
  7. That is a tough story. Whether you decide to push through or take a break, next spring will be game on.
  8. Nice fish!
  9. Nice fish, great pics!
  10. No brainer. Although it is NIB, it's still old and I would recommend a thorough cleaning and lube.

  12. When I first met Big O we had a great discussion on color. The take-away was this: The "right color" can make good fishing better. So, when you have a profile/ action that's working, you might want to test a few more colors of the same lure.
  13. 80 percent Rage Tail...EVERY style Big O offers 15 percent GYCB...Senko, Fat Ika. Kut-Tail and Single Tail Hula Grub 5 percent...Other...LFT Live Magic Shad, MegaStrike Mega Craw Tube, Gitzit and BPS Tender Tube
  14. Try this if you want a lighter rig: YUM Flash Mob Junior/ 3/0 EWG Offset Worm Hooks on the outside arms (no weight) rigged with LFT Live Magic Shad, Rage Tail Menace or GYCB Single Tail Hula Grub/ Johnson Silver Minnow on the middle arm.
  15. Fishing should improve dramatically next week with the cool down. Regarding water release: On any river system current trumps everything else. On the Tennessee River below Pickwick Dam, stay home if the TVA is not running water. If it starts at 10:00, you don't need to be there any earlier. Another point you will notice over time is that the bite stops when the water drops. If it stabilizes, the fishing will pick back up in an hour or so.

  17. No, but last year on October 6th I had one of my best days ever and more importantly, this was the first time in 19 years that artificial out-fished live bait. The Rage Tail Menace rules!
  18. Thanks! I will take you up on that offer.
