  1. The baitcaster can be used for any lure with a weight inside the rod specifications. That is probably 1/4 - 5/8 ounce. Your spinning outfit is best suited for light weight or weightless presentations.
  2. Well, I have the 50E super-tuned and in PERFECT condition. With upgrades I consider this reel to be comparable to my Core 50Mg7. It is not for sale, but if it were I would ask $225, firm. I suggest buying the reel and sending it to DVT for service and upgrades (Carbontex brakes and Boca bearings).

  4. Hmm...I love weddings and especially putting them on. Yeah, and back in the day, being best man definitely had its perks! However, being the bride's dad or the groom's dad trumps everything. Two of my proudest moments in life. Others were being with friends when their kids got married. If you hate it that much just don't go. Be polite and let them know you will be unable to attend, no excuses required. Seriously, I am not being mean, but I promise, no one will miss you. Weddings are joyous occasions that friends and relatives cherish. Don't be a stick in the mud, just don't go.
  5. Several years ago I caught a "ghost fish" at Pickwick. If it were healthy the bass would have had a mature weight of at least six or seven pounds, but this sucker was gone and didn't weigh a pound. It was scary and I didn't touch the thing. I lifted it at the hook with pliers and manipulated the release. The fish swam away...
  6. 7' Heavy Power/ Fast Action with a rating for at least 2 ounces.

  9. Well, I grew up trolling and it is still one of my favorite ways to fish. My dad always targeted points, rounded in the spring (shallow) and steeper during the summer. When ever we got a bite we stopped, retied substituting a "purple worm" for the crankbait ( http://www.heddonlures.com/product/hellbender-magnum-downrigger-3/ ) It still works today!
  10. Buck-Eye J-Will http://www.cabelas.com/product/Buckeye-Lures-J-Will-Swimbait-Head/1364103.uts Make an extended cast on structure or along a weed line. Allow the bait to fall to the bottom, then begin a steady retrieve. The bait creates all of the action, nothing is needed on your part.
  11. CONGRATULATIONS!

  13. Mike, Show him mine and list the components. I have the PERFECT Senko rod!
  14. Thanks Mike!
  15. Target ledges and humps. If you have current, cast upstream and retrieve slowly on or near the bottom. My favorite bait is the Rage Tail Thumper (blue fleck).
