Flouro is best used for anything that sinks (crank baits, jerk baits, soft plastics etc.) No, I don't think so. For all treble hooks I prefer monofilament line. I prefer fluorocarbon as a mainline or leader for bottom contact single hooks, spinnerbaits, swim jigs, buzzbaits and Chatterbaits Mono is best used for anything that floats (topwater). Maybe, but I would include all treble hooks. So what is braid best used for? Punching maybe, mainline on spinning tackle and for some baitcasting applications. Braid has a higher tensile strength than flouro or mono but doesn't have the stretch correct? No. Tensile strength relates to impact and braid is VERY susceptible to breaking while casting and occasionally on hookset.

Deep craning requires a dedicated rod if you fish it a lot. However, most guys don't and what ever you are currently using for jigs will be fine. I think you would be better served getting a 6 /2' Medium Power/ Moderate Action rod that can be used for most treble hook lures: shallow to medium depth crankbaits, topwater and jerkbaits.

I think the Ito Vision 110 is an exceptional lure and collecting them is my passion. I have bought them over the years always on "special". My average cost I would guess is around $15. We have them pop up on our Flea Market occasionally, too. One of the keys for fishing the 110 is light line on spinning tackle which is how they were designed to be fished in Japan.

Target bluegill with worms and crickets. Start by helping her cast and hooking up the fish so she can simply reel it in. With kids, "catching" is everything!

Well, to start with the pricing in this review is bogus. TW has 275 yards for $10.99 and more importantly, 600 yards for $14.99. It's often on sale and will be 15% cheaper this weekend! I consider the line "very affordable". Manageability is an issue with 15 lb test and up. I use KVD Line & Lure Conditioner and find the #6 quite manageable on spinning tackle as is the #12 on baitcasting equipment. After a few casts the line lays down nicely even if it has been spooled for some time. I have never had an issue with knot strength or line strength and find it to be very abrasion resistant. So, it REALLY comes as a surprise to me that TT measured results would vary so greatly with my on the water experience. I have been fishing the line for more than a decade and coincidentally I just spooled a reel this morning. With that said, over the past few years I have moved on to some other brands for specific techniques. For anything fluorocarbon Tatsu is the bomb! For treble hooks I like monofilament, specifically Sunline Defier Armilo. And finally, following some great advice from several members, two of my three spinning reels are spooled with Smackdown and a Tatsu leader.

Well the answer might be all three...Some good all-around line is Seaguar InvizX & AbrazX; Yo-Zuri Hybrid; Izorline; P-Line and Sunline Defier Armilo and of course, the very populat Trilene lines XL & XT. For economical braid I like Sufix 832, but lots of guys like Power Pro. Top of the line is Seaguar Smackdown..

Try a spool of #6 Yo-Zuri Hybrid. Most guys like it, some don't. #6 has a breaking strength of 11.9 lbs. I have NEVER broken this line on a cast nor hook-set. Another suggestion is 20 lb braid with #6 Hybrid leader.
