  1. Cabela's Guidewear for me.
  2. That's fine, but they are not Megabass Ito Vision 110.
  3. I think President Washington's birthday is much more important than any other designation for April 22. Moderator note: This thread has the potential of getting political fairly quickly. Get your posts in soon, I don't think it will last long. -Kent

Make you own out of pvc tubing.
  5. The leader line is generally stiffer and perhaps a little more resistant to abrasion.
  6. Good success with the Siebert Outdoors and NorthStar swim jigs in bluegill pattern. I'm using either a Rage Tail Menace or Shellcracker as a trailer. The strike is generally very aggressive and the fish hooks itself. I suggest sweeping your rod while reeling down, then firmly lifting your rod tip. The key is to maintain constant pressure.
  7. Alberto for thicker lines #12>. For thinner lines a blood knot. However, any knot will do, it should not come into play.
  8. You might have better luck when the water warms up.
  9. Over time you will want to build your collection: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/130634-rod-selection-the-basics/ For now, an all-around rod for your location is probably 7' Medium Heavy Power/ Fast Action. Every brand has a competative rod at your pricing point.
  10. Tatsu rocks! I would be interested in someone comparing it with Gamma, I have never fished the line.
  11. One of my favorite swim jig trailers, too!
  12. Although I think the LC lures are worth every penny, I'm not sure I have actually bought one that was not on sale.I would rate them this way: Sammys are 1st in class; Pointers are just a smigin behind Megabass Vision 110 and the LC series is OUTSTANDING!
  13. Flambeau Bazuka $49 It looks like they are $79 everywhere else: http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3997946&camp=CSE:BingShoppingPaid:3997946:7239370:TACKLE&CA_6C15C=120138600000395924
  14. Well, this is suprising to me, I have never experienced abrasion on new Hybrid. That would kill the deal for me, too!
  15. Would you paint over a Rembrandt? These lures are works of art. I would NEVER consider having one repainted.
  16. Well, I pretty much fish them all! These would be my top picks: Menace, Shellcracker, Cut-R, Lizard, Baby Craw, Craw & Lobster, Later when the water warms up a bit, Toad, Thumper, Anaconda and Recon. For flipping the Smokin' Rooster and I'm sure our next new favorite The Bug.
  17. Use whatever you have been using for weighted soft plastics. If you are asking for suggestions for a new rod, I would recommend Medium Power/ Fast Action.
  18. I'm surprised that we don't hear more about the MegaBug, it's a winner! Here is another idea for you: MegaStrike MegaTube Craw rigged on a ShakE2...killer!
  19. Rage Tail Thumper
  20. No. I usually dress up much better to go fishing.
  21. You can "troll" it out on grass in a field. After laying on your spool for several months the line has developed a memory. However, trolling the line will eliminate the problem, especially in conjunction with KVD Line & Lure Conditioner. I have #4 Yo-Zuri spooled on one reel that is probably 3 years old. This fish was caught under VERY difficult conditions using the line: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/lake-guntersville-2012.html
  22. Panther Martin (gold blade, black w/ chartreuse dots) Floating Rapala from the bank, Countdown from a boat
  23. The MegaStrike StrikeBack is a favorite of mine.
