Megastrike Tubes And Shak-E2 Head Order Arrived!
No, not me. I think a subtle movement is key. On the RoadTrip at Pickwick last spring I fished the ShakE2 Pro Series and Siebert Outdoors Zenith shakey head. Both performed well and this technique was my #1 producer. p.s. The MegaStrike Mega Tube Craw is hollow and grooved to accomodate the hook shank.

Spinning Reel Or Baitcasting For Soft Plastics
It's a combination of both equipment and technique. The simple solution that works for most guys: fish spinning tackle for lighter baits and lures; baitcasters for heavier tackle. You will often hear it put this way: Spinning for finesse fishing, baitcast for power.

Pros And Cons Of Different Types Of Line...
Monofilament Pros: Generally inexpensive, excellent for treble hook lures Cons: Stretch that reduces "feel" for bottom contact lures Copolymer Pros: Stronger than mono at comparable line diameter. In some cases less memory. Cons: Still too much memory and twist when compared to braid Fluorocarbon Pros: Reduced visibility, highly abbrassion resistant, lower stretch Cons: Better quality lines are expensive Braid Pros: Strong and supple Cons: Visibility, poor abrassion resistance

Size Police For Gf's 1St Lm Bass?
Too cool! I can't really determine a weight, but I'll go with John's estimate, around 4 lbs.

The Road To The Super Bowl
Chiefs fan for more than 15 years, starting Day 1 with the American Football League. Season ticket owner in 8th grade and a proud member of the Wolf Pack. Even after moving to Denver in 1981, I remained a loyal fan until John Elway won me over. I was there for the Super Bowl parade in Kansas City in 1970. Now commonly known as Super Bowl IV, technically this was the first "Super Bowl". The previous three games were AFL-NFL World Championship Game.

Quirks
Neat freak: A place for everything and everthing in its place. I like all doors closed unless I am in the room. I throw away line without regard, but am very careful not to waste too much when tying a knot. Rarely fish used plastics and always start with a fresh bait. When my son was living at home I always bought at least two of every lure. He's on his own now, but I still buy two!

Smallmouth Lures
Sworming Hornet/ LFT Live Magic Shad. Cast and let the lure sink to the bottom. Keep you rod tip up, do not pump the lure. Reel fast, then allow the Hornet to fall back to the bottom on slack line. Repeat until you feel you are "out of the zone". All of the strikes will occur on the drop. When ANYTHING feels different, set the hook!

The Road To The Super Bowl
After week two it's obvious that the Broncos are the team to beat. To run the table they will have to deal with winning their play-off position in November. This issue faced John Elway as a player, so maybe he has some new ideas to deal with it this year. Today's game featured a little bit of a running game and a tremendous performance by special teams. The defense stood tall, but is still missing key components that should be back in a week or two. Todays score was not really indicative of Denver's dominance. Eli played well, but the Giants are not a great team. Unfortunately, the Bronco's schedule is pretty weak, so the real challenges will be in the play-offs. When it counts, it's One And Done.

What Worm Works Best?
First of all, I'm a HUGE fan of the Rage Tail 10" Thumper. However, the 5" Senko in your favorite color rigged weightless will produce greater numbers. The Fat Ika is another "must have". Next, Rage-rigged Rage Craw or Lobster. Brand new: Rage Tail Cut-R. Under the radar: MegaStrike MegaBug and Craw Tube. These can be rigged any way you like, but my suggestion is to Rage Rig the MegaBug and fish the Craw Tube on a ShakE2 Pro Series. Last, but not least: GYCB 6.5" Kut Tail rigged on a ShakE2 Pro Series.

Fishing From A Kayak In Maine
Consider coming to next year's BassResource RoadTrip. Specific details will be posted in the coming months, but as a general guide we will probably be having the event around the first of May at one of the Tennessee River impoundments. The exact location is yet to be determined. https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/lake-guntersville-2012.html

Seeking Guidance In Rod Purchase
Avid AVC68MXF would be a good rod for you to start with. As you build your collection I would recommend the AVC70MM for crankbaits and the AVC66MF specifically for jerkbaits and topwater. Pinnacle is another alternative that has really impressed me and just about everyone that has tried their new Tournament Series equipment. http://www.pinnaclefishing.com/PINNACLE-INTRODUCES-NEW-TOURNAMENT-CLASS-PERFECTA-RODS.html

Hard Times On Bull Shoals.....
Fish the upper portion of the lake by starting a few miles below the Tanycomo Dam. A couple of specific arms a little further down are Big Sister and Little Sister. I have had some terrible trips on this lake, but I also had my best ever one year. http://www.bullshoals.org/event/%5Beventyyyy%5D/%5Beventmm%5D/bassmaster-elite-series-trokar-quest-tournament

Chinese Swimbaits
Well, if you are going to invest the time in big swimbaits, use a high quality lure, not a Chinese knock-off.
